Here is my video of my brother (Braxton), me (Kyle, the one wearing the hat), and Pro Bass guide Tom Redington on lake Fork the first week of May. I would have had it done sooner but i've been busy with college. This is my first video, so let me know what you think so I can get better at it.

Looks like good times

video was excellent...nice work and even nicer fish!!!
nice job looks like you had some fun.
Very well made video! Congrats!
Nice Video, I was disapointed of the lack of red or a big N somewhere!
GO BIG RED

Great video... love the part where you and your brother pretend you are the guides!!! LOL ;D
Cool video fellas and awesome music to go with it! Thanks for taking the time to post that up.

That was actually the only day I didn't wear Husker RED. It figures that the next day when I was showing the NU Pride it was rainy and the fish got lock-jaw (not great conditions for putting together a fishing video). Also, my brother, happens to be a HUGE Texas Longhorns fan (a rare breed in the great state of Nebraska and if convicted, he will be facing 30 years to life for such a crime) so he felt right at home there.

LOL, we had a good time with that. It was totally off-the-cuff. I "interviewed" my brother first then we switched and I saw Tom walking up to the boat and make a comment about how we were trying to put him on some good fish. He had no idea that we were filming at first, until my brother mentioned something like "Yup, he is our first customer of the year" and Tom didn't even skip a beat and he played right along with the bit. It was great.
Great job on the video. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see your next one.
Great vid guys!! Surely a trip of a lifetime, more to come!!
Tom-Kudos
small editing hint. "Mute" the parts where you don't have dialogue. Vids come out cleaner and more appealing if the "wind noise" etc is eliminated where not needed.
Save your money and come with us next yr!!
PS- I remember that first view of Fork , coming across that bridge!! I was right there in that truck with you guys
No need for red, kyle (sp?) represented JUST FINE with the North Face jacket
LBH, does that make it official that next years trip is to fork?
GO BIG RED

We're rounding up the posse!
outstanding,
great video, great fish, great trip.
LBH, Thanks for editing hint. I'm just getting started with the whole video thing and I'm always looking for advice to help make it better. I wish I could just take out the wind noise and leave the voice, but for now I am stuck using Windows Movie Maker. It not the best editing software but it gets the job done.
RW Husker, I will be making another bass video next week when we go to Okoboji and I will make sure that I get footage with my husker gear on. GO BIG RED!
Kyle
We're going to Beaver Lake in Ark next week. I'm going to attempt to do a better job of video and pics. I watched yours at Fork and realized I made a mistake not doing any video. You will treasure those.
We need to put a BR Nebraska day together.
GO BIG RED

I also used that song in my Godsmack compilation video, lol.
live2fish- with windows movie maker,....SAVE OFTEN!!!! Can't tell you how many times I've lost hours of work and wanted to send the computer sailing down 3 flights of stairs! If you have AIM, SHUT IT OFF before starting. Good old AOL, doing all they can to screw with our efforts. Man,...if there is one company I would like to wipe off the face of this Earth, it would be them.
Word is that the sony program is awesome (Hawg_Hunter uses it)
I'm still trying to figure it out though, lol.
For wind noise, take a tiny piece of foam and an elastic. cover the mic on your camera (will be tiny) with the foam. Presto,....no more wind noise but voices still come through.
Nice video
It's taking shape

I do save often but, OMG!!! WMM really gets under my skin in a bad way. There had to be a half a dozen time where "Windows Movie Maker has encountered an error and must shut down" or something like that. Then it asks if you want to "send an error report?" Ok, where does this error report go??? Who sees it?? Will anything actually be done to fix it??? Whatever I guess. I think that I am starting to believe those "Hello, I'm a Mac. And I'm a PC" commercials. I'm starting to lean towards buying a Mac for my next computer. From what I have heard, iMovie is really easy to use and produces pretty decent work.

Thanks for the advice. I have the Fujifilm Finepix S700. The mic is kinda in a weird spot (right on the top next to the flash). I'll see it I can figure something out for it because the wind noise is really annoying.

I have it now too. It's A LOT different than Windows, but it's pretty easy once you get where everything is. I have completed one video (a family friend's wedding) and have about 80% of my first 2007 video. I need about a minute more of footage. If I don't get it in the next couple weeks I am just going to cut it short.
Cool tip about the mic
Wow, awesome video Kyle! I'll have to get a copy of that for my website. That day was a blast fishing with you 2, just get you near the fish and get ready to grab the net. Thanks again to you and Braxton!!
