How Much Does This Weigh? 2025

fishing user avatarblongfishing reply :

I really hate doing this but I used a different boat and I didn't have my scale. How big do you think it is? It was caught out of Lake Russell in Georgia. post-46191-0-84106800-1419981000_thumb.j

I don't but if it were me the first thing I would do is to change my avatar picture from that fish instead of the dink you have in your avatar.

I was thinking the same thing. I will soon as I get home on my computer.
fishing user avatarDwight Hottle reply :

I'm guessing 6-7lbs. Nice fish.

fishing user avatar00 mod reply :

Looks to be in the 4 lb range to me. Only way to be sure is have a scale!

Great fish by the way!  Congrats!

Jeff

fishing user avatarRoLo reply :

Appears around 5 (more if full-bodied).

In any case, great catch :thumbsup_blue:

No, unfortunately I didn't. I wasn't fishing out of my boat so I had nothing.
fishing user avatargardnerjigman reply :

I'd say 4#. Give or take half #

fishing user avatarWeld's Largemouth reply :

3-4 lbs

Skinny bass, could be over 4 if it had some meat

Nice looking fish.

I wouldn't dare venture a guess as to weight, but can offer one piece of advice when you find yourself in this position in the future.  People will be able to judge the size of your fish if you learn to put something of a known size in the picture with your fish.  For example, a dollar bill is approximately 6" long, and laid on top of the fish would give you a sense of scale in comparison.

fishing user avatarslimshad reply :

Big head on her, I say 4.5ish.

fishing user avatarfishballer06 reply :

I'd guess around 4# as well. Did you measure the length or girth?

fishing user avatarbuzzed bait reply :

big head, skinny body.  i'd say 4 pounds myself.

fishing user avatarkikstand454 reply :

4-5.

Wtg!

fishing user avatareverythingthatswims reply :

Greater than 1lb, less than 10lbs.

I have marks on my rods at 20 & 25", gives me a good idea of the length, I don't carry a scale.

fishing user avatarScott F reply :

You will never know how much that fish weighed. But does it really matter? What difference would it make if you knew? Obviously, you're curious, but forget about it, get a scale, and go catch another one.

fishing user avatarrippin-lips reply :

When in doubt... take a piece of line and cut it to the length of the fish and then the same for girth. You can measure them later and use the calculator to get a good idea of weight.

fishing user avatarRSM789 reply :

Just a smidge under 11 lbs. ..... if you weighed it on Jupiter.

I believe that the space shuttle does have a livewell.

fishing user avatarFunkJishing reply :

between 3 and 4 lbs.

fishing user avatarBammerBass reply :

4 is a good starting point, could be bigger. Not seeing the entire picture, some say it is skinny, but I cant see the belly from here. I say a solid 4 for sure in my opinion, possibly a little bigger depending on thickness. Quality catch either way!! If you asked me if I would be satisfied with one like that, id reply heck yeah I would!!

fishing user avatarbassfisherman7 reply :

I bet it's a couple ounces shy of five pounds. Nice fish!
