i caught ths bass yesterday but nver got a chance to weigh it because i dropped my scale in the water. its been buggin me since i let it go, from this pic how big would you say ths bass is? im real bad at estimating fish weight but i'd say its about 9 pounds or so.
im not very good at judging the weight of bass. id say a little over 10? any way thats a hog
It hard to say but I'd guess 9.5 to 10#. Beautiful fish!
WOW that's a beauty. I say a little over 10
I agree with you Calbert 9lbs and congratulations for a great job. Thanks for letting her go right where you caught her. You are providing a good example and future for our next generation of Bass fisherman. KUDO'S to you and keep it up. Good fishing.

thanks for the compliments guys. im hoping to catch it again sometime in the future...theres not much more to that lake than whats in the picture.
Hard to tell but I would say every bit of nine and could be a ten+. Nice fish congrats!
Very nice fish! what bait were you using?
Don't know how much it weighs but it is big. Very nice!
i'd say at least 10. nice catch
QuoteVery nice fish! what bait were you using?
watermelon/red berkley gulp, wacky rigged with 8lb test line on my baitcaster
Now that's a HAWG!! Great catch! I'd guesstimate, based on the size of the mouth, at least 10 pounds if not more!
I' d say if it's not 10 lbs it's pretty darn close.
I'd have to agree with everyone else. She's either side of 10. Nice fish!
deffinetly ove 10. What a pig!
I saw the mallet and I was scared you hit it over the head.
I agree with the majority, over ten if not more. At most 13 though, it looks spawned out in the photo, was she full of eggs?

haha that was for the alligator gar, theres wayyyyy too many down here.
Quotei'd say at least 10. nice catch
x2. Congrats! 8-)
I'd say 9 to 9.5. What a hog. Lucky dog. She's a trophy. Take your pics and head to the taxidermist. Damnit. Can't wait to get out there.
10 lbs.
10# + Hawg
I'd guess 10#'s and wouldn't be shocked if she was actually a pound and a half either way. Awesome fish. What state are you from?

i live in a town called land o lakes, its about 30 min north of tampa florida.
Nice Hawg, I would have to say between 9 & 10 pounds.
I think that fish is over 10 lbs. It is hard to tell because I can't see how wide her back is and you are holding her closer to the camera, but her head is HUGE.
Here is a tip if you are ever caught without a scale again. Cut a piece of line equal to her length, then cut one equal to her girth. Take a couple of more picture. One of her back, one of her belly, one from each side. Also take the pics with her right beside you. That gives a better reference object so she can be judged. Orlando Wilson used to say that "Roland Martin has the biggest thumbs in the world". He would always put his fish up against the camera lense and carry on about how big the fish were. Disclaimer: RM has caught a bunch of huge bass.
You can then find online calculators or do it yourself and estimate her weight. Those estimates will get you pretty close.
Yup ur about right it looks a good 9 or 10 pounder easy
That fish could have gone 10, but for someone like me, if I don't know for sure, I wouldn't be able to call it a DD just cause I dont' know for sure.
I'd call it 9 1/2.
