Went fishing today at the pond I described in one of my first posts here and finally caught my first bass! My heart was pounding so fast at the fact that I finally hooked one.

Thanks a lot!
It's funny how it goes... hook one fish. And get hooked for life. I wish you luck in all your bass fishing years to come.

You are welcome. I see you caught the bass on one of the lures I recommended you earlier(spinnerbait). The particular size you used to catch your first bass is a very good size for big bass,so don't be surprised if you catch a big bass on it soon.
Congrat for your first bass now get ready for more.
Awesome!
Congratulations, it is cool that you have a picture of it. Put that picture in a frame like business owners do with the first dollar they ever made.

Man it was perfect conditions for spinnerbaits. Overcast and the wind was starting to pick up. I hope I can catch some more in there. A kid that has been fishing for a few years said that the pond is very hard to catch bass in. I need a good, healthily stocked pond. Thank you for all your help!

I'm very big on keeping pictures and collecting memories.
Good job! Now you're hooked! Many more fish to come!

Yeah I'm hooked! Problem is I have a very very tight schedule. I'm in Drumline and my only free days for fishing are Wednesdays and Sundays. :/

More time than I have with two toddlers at home and a full work schedule. I maybe get 4-5 full fishing weekends a year at this point, but I throw in various day trips to help with the addiction.

Learn to catch them when it's tough and when you do find a great spot it will be like cheating
nice catch man!
You got the fever.
Color me jelly - my fist bass (my profile pic) is a lot smaller than yours. lol
Congrats man!!!
Congratulations on a nice fish!! Great job!

X2 here. I work 6 days a week and only 1 day off which is Sunday, and Im stupid enough to promise my wife that Sunday would be a family day (after she let me buy a boat).
I can fish maybe a couple hours after work if I get off early. If i get to fish more than once a week, I would be very happy.
Congrats on your first bass! Also, welcome to the lifelong addiction to catching more and more of them!

I hope so. Went yesterday around 11-1pm and it was some awful fishing. Need to stick to the late evenings
Congrats!
The white spinnerbait. Ahh...
If I had a dollar for every bass in the world that has fallen victim to a white spinnerbait...
Grats! Let the addiction begin!
Congrats. You're hooked for life. A healthy addiction.
Great start !
Careful as it can become a lifelong obsession ! Can't remember my first as I am told I was only four, but I do remember my first decent bass (about 6 pounds) caught at age 6. I can't remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday but I remember that fish and every detail about it and it was 59 years ago. Man I'm getting old !
The bug really hit me at age 17 and I have been going once or twice a week since then with the exception of a few health induced breaks of a few months here and there.
Took one of the grandsons this morning and had a great time. Caught lots of fish, snook, reds, tarpon, snapper but that wasn't the important part of it. Spending time with a family member on the water is the true joy of it.
Keep at it and you may wind up as sick as I am.
Good luck.
Dave
That's awesome! Congratulations!
And so it begins. Good job!
