It's a rare occasion that I put a trailer hook on a buzzbait, but I'm sure glad I did.
5 pounds 14 ounces.
They bite was HOT Thursday.
Nice one!
Wow - great catch. So I guess you'll be adding a trailer hook to your buzzbait a little more often? It's tricky because they cure the short strike, yet hang up depending on where you are fishing. Congrats.
That's one nice bass right there!
Great Bass Blue ~
That had to be fun
Congrats

The last picture says it all.

I agree when your thumb looks like that it was a good day.
Congrats on the nice catch.
BTW ~ I may have to frame & hang your shredded thumb picture in my tackle room.
Just so I can refer to it occasionally during the hard water season . . .

Nice fish! I will never throw a buzzbait without a trailer hook! Something tells me you might keep one on a little more often now too.
The thumb means ya catching em but when those teeth marks are down near your palm ya catching hawgs!
That's awesome I've only had a few days in my life my thumb was torn up that bad!! Congrats!
Great fish man! Buzzbait bass are so much fun. Overcast days like that are so hard not to only throw the jig
Nice work, Blue!
That thumb thing is a good problem to have. Nice catch.
Nice fish and congrats on the 2016 PB Largie!

"Bass palm", as I call it, is always a good thing. I've also got a case of flathead knuckles after another accidental catch during our tournament last Tuesday night.
Nice fish!, I hope she gave you a good fight.,.... And isnt it a shame your thumb and palm need more recouping, than you do yourself? Got to love those days.
Congrats blue!
Better than dishpan hands by a long shot!
very nice!

A-Jay, just keep some coarse grit sand paper handy during the winter and scuff up your own thumb when you need to experience "bass thumb."
Nice!!!!

Not a bad Idea.
But I'm a purest, and it's just not the same.
That "Smell" would be absent - and that's at least half the fun.

That's a darn good fish.
Very nice! I hope to have that same thumb when I head to the pond next weekend!
