The old girl looks much like she did 27 years ago. Don't you wish we could say the same about ourselves?
1988 Ranger 374V with a 150 Mercury Black Max XR-4. We call her Elle MacPherson. TOP of the line in 1988 and still awesome today, hence the name.
Who's Elle MacPhearson? JK!
Here is my girl. A 1986 Glastron F&S.
My 1990 Ranger Fisherman with 1989 Merc 100 hp. I am the 3rd owner, still improving it all the time!
Those are some great looking boats !!!

One of the improvements I made to my Ranger Fisherman was to add a removable rear casting deck for my friends who fish from the back of my boat.
My current and first boat. 1989 Sea Nymph TX155 Tournament with a 25hp Johnson. Runs great and works fine for me.

Nice, I thought of doing this as well. Can you give me the dimensions and material you used? Thanks.

I took 3/4 inch plywood, cut to fit, wrapped the top side with a sheet of plastic and covered with indoor/outdoor carpeting that nearly matched. I cut a piece of PVC pipe that I used in the original hole for the seat post to support the middle of the deck. You have to lift the whole deck to access to the battery compartments, livewell and bait wells, but I don't use the livewells.
all of those are new compared to my first boat, a 1977 kingfisher with a 85 HP Johnson of the same year.... it was abandoned and we restored it until this year that i sold it to get a newer (1994) Javelin...
here it is after we painted it, carpeted, upholstered, and wired it completely... we even used it for skiing a couple of times.... and the new owner still fishes out of it....

May I ask how long is the actual deck? The reason I'm asking is because I want to so the same thing to my boat but there is only about 28 inches from the transom to the back of the seats and I'm not sure this is enough room.
I guess 18 years is old. This is my 1997 lowe with a 90hp Johnson.
Mine is put away for winter. 1976 sea nymph with a 76 merc 50 thunderbolt.
Thunderbolt. Now there's a name from the distant past. I can remember the Thunderbolt name being used in the 1950s and maybe earlier.
Here are the best pics I could dig up of my 1975 McKee Craft. Apparently I don't take many pics of my boat. Found lots of pictures of my friends and I holding fish in the boat, but only 2 of the boat itself. This boat still gets on the water weekly.

Distant past???
Had boats even been invented by the time you were born?

Yes, they were made up of bundles of reeds.

Mine is just over 30 inches. It goes from the splash well to the back of the drivers seat. 28 inches should work just fine.

Runs like a new motor.
Keep em coming!
Refurbished with a new wheelhouse, bulkheads and other renovations.
Circa 1978 - 1979
The 1997 brochure boat for Yar-craft (now owned by BassCat). 1678 Tiller - upgraded with a new Yamaha 60 4 stroke, Shortland'r trailer, dual Hummingbird 998 si's and 80 lb iPilot Terrova. Small river smallmouth machine - and eats 3 footers too on Mille Lacs and Rainy Lake.
Only decent pics I could rummage up at work, but the first is a 1986 Ranger 320V with a 96 Johnson 88 SPL that I sold late last year. The second is my current ride. It's a 1997 Ranger Sport R70 with a 1997 Evinrude 130. They both were older, but they still get the job done!

Both beautiful boats, but I really love the style of those 80's models.
79 Glastron
keep em coming guys!

1990 tracker nitro 175 tf with a Johnson 150. Love this for my first boat.
Here's a bunch of pictures for my '91 Lund Pro-V 1800, gone a couple years now: http://s189.photobucket.com/user/groznak/library/1991%20Lund%20Pro-V%201800?sort=3&page=1
And the boat I bought to replace it, a '97 Crestliner Pro-Am: http://s189.photobucket.com/user/groznak/library/1997%20Crestliner?sort=3&page=1
I started with this, a 1998 Tracker V-14, which was a cool little boat (little being the operative word): http://s189.photobucket.com/user/groznak/library/1998%20Tracker%20V-14?sort=3&page=1
Replaced the Pro-Am with a 2005 Crestliner CMV 1850...bought in 20014 with 3.5 hours on the motor...unless something stupid happens, I'm done...
I don't think I have any pictures of my '99 Ranger 520DVX. My first boat. Sold it to a local guy in '04 and he still owns it.
My first and current boat. Appropriately named "Its Always Somethin." 1970's 14 ft. Alumacraft with a '78 Johnson 25hp and matching Johnson troller up front.
I have a spare of that Johnson trolling motor tucked away in my garage...if you want it, it's yours for the cost of shipping it.
This is my 1986 Skeeter Starfire. It has done me well in the 2 years I have had her.
keep em coming guys!
1986 ranger 350V with a 150 Yamaha proV... she's been a great boat. I've had for 3 years and redid the carpets and seats. new upgraded electronics. and new fourtrex trolling motor... she's a blast to drive and does 62mph on GPS...
Here is our 1985 Champion with a 150 HP Mercury. Older boat but in great shape.
