Let's get Low Budget for a minute here.
Let's see all the 16' and under vessels that "get it done" for you guys.
My 1964 12' Jon
Senko77, up from Georgia for some Low Budget Bassin'. Yup,....the scale is out.
theres my 14 foot deep v. plain right now but soon it will have a deck on the front half of it. o yea i have a 30lb trolling motor and a 4 hp outboard for when i want to get somewhere in a hurry ;D
Bassmaster6
Awesomely Low Budget!! Love it.
(ps- a "deep" V is a diff kind of hull, that's a "v" hull. Deep V is a type of saltwater, fiberglass hull )
Here is my office chair rig. It's really comfortable for a 10 ft jon. The double shelf on the front and back really help out when rigging and switching lures. Or eating lunch.
Dude,....we may have to make you an "Officer" on the LBH fishing team.
do you ever turn around to your partner and say "Hold my calls..." ;D
I'm loving that chair surfer. Great idea!
Surfer: now THAT is really CLEVER & low budget to boot!! Makes the higher end pontoon boats & catarafts that I've been researching look like Cadillacs.
im told this was a ski boat in 1958, not sure if i believe it or not.........lol. its rated for 40hp motor. when i bought it it was full of water and half sunk in a pond, had to use a tractor to pull the boat out and drain it. i gave $50 for the boat at that time.

Before construction
Currently under construction. It a 1974 Ouchita and she won't get er' done right now but I have a vision that i am slowly working toward. I plan on decking both the front and the back of the boat, installing a live well toward the bow of the boat and to have some type of lighting in the boat for night time fishing. <SIGH> one day......
I started, well my son started too, but after seeing LBH's color-we are in the drawing board stage
1436
Now this is my kind of club.
Here's the wide view. $99 Hand controlled trolling motor mounted up front, with the head flipped around
LED lights run for 2+ seasons on 2 DD batteries.
Fuse holder for fish finder (top) and TM (bottom)
Front deck is removable for cleaning
Fishingbuds- small tip, do not waste time and paint doing the floor if you are making carpeted floor decks
Very clean Dan!
Great stuff guys!!
It gets the job done .....
14' semi V with 9.9hp. Bought it for $350!!! Motor runs like a champ, it was such a steal. Had to do some work on it, but it was fun cause I got to work with my brothers, Dad, and grand Dad. Some really really good times.
This piece is hinged for extra storage, and more deck space.
Still need to add a hatch in the front for more storage, doing that sometime this week actually.
It just barely makes the 16' or less as it is 16' on the nose. Don't let this one fool you. It's got a excellent livewell system lots of underdeck storage and it is a fishing machine.
Ronnie
Nice boats guys! Hey Russ, what happened to that 300 Pro Max Merc you had hangin' on the back?
I had a fealing the Alabama slama wit da trollin foldin chair would show up.

Gotcha on that LBH- I remember your comment back some time on that one, Actually that is a old shot of it I stripped the paint off, waiting for some warm air to repaint
I also remember you saying that the Bed liner wasn't worth it also?
Correct on the bedliner. If there is a leak, eliminate it, don't "compensate" for it.
It added a lot of weight and drag. Did not hold up either, it is currently peeling, 2 yrs later. It was NOT because of bad prep work, it just doesn't hold up to us dragging that boat on the rip rap. (I used it on the outside to protect hull while dragging. Most use it as a sealer on the inside.) Again, if there is a leak, fix it, leave this stuff at the Auto parts store.
JMO and good luck FB
(ps- way to go including your boy in the "mens" work. The boat will be that much more special to him when it becomes his later )
SURFER.......you need to run for Prez! LOVE IT!
I am forced to follow forum rules. As soon as I post THIS, and ONE MORE message, I'll be able to post a pic of my boat....Stay Tuned!!
Thy Rod and Thy Reel, They Comfort Me.

BIG BLUE!!!
Peter, I was wondering how that rig was treating you. I haven't seen it since you first posted pics of the restore.
I LOVE IT IN BLUE!!! This is the color scheme we are going to use on Dirks boat this yr.
Tin- You know me better than that...... :
I'm in

LBH,
It's been great to me. I do take care of it with a cover. The carpet is as strong as ever. Thing year I'm going to add a couple of rod holder for the front and maybe some decals like yours. "Daddy's Blue Boat", it's what my kids call it. ;D
Awesome pics Eric!
Quote(ps- a "deep" V is a diff kind of hull, that's a "v" hull. Deep V is a type of saltwater, fiberglass hull )
Wrong. First of all, I own a deep vee. Second of all, it is 15 feet, so it would be classified under your specs. Third of all, it is aluminum, and fourth of all, it was made for the Great lakes, not salt. ;D ;D Did I go far enough?
A deep vee is decided at the transom. If the hull has 20 degrees or more of dead rise, then it is a deep vee.

Can someone PLEASE post a pic of that fellow with the styrofoam boat thing with the Alabama hat on. I can't find it and want to show my brother in Alabama.

Here's how he gets the rig to remote lakes.
Thank you James!!!
Here is mine while filming a Lunkerville episode. Its an 1982 Tracker that I paid $400 dollars for along with the trailer. I replaced all the decks and installed carpet after taking all the sterring wheel, seats etc. out. I had duel front motors as well as three rear motors. It's now getting another makeover with a few improvments that should be done in the next few days.
