hey fellas, due to funding issues and just plain ole hassle, ive decided to sell my bass boat. its just too much hassle for me. it needs too much work, but my uncle is taking it off my hands for me, hopefully his son can overhaul it and get it back out on the water. i hate to see a boat sit. i couldnt evan pull it with my little s10. but some good news with the money iam getting iam getting a pelican raider 10e 2 man bass boat. i know i know you jon boat guys are prob frowning on me right now, but ive had a jon before and it just wasnt stable enough for my fatboy self. ive been in 2 mans before and i was really impressed.
but to get to the point, does any one know any good sites for getting 2 man accessories ? does any body else have 2 mans, iam very interested in seeing how other fishers rig theirs up. thanks again. see you out on the water and god bless.

Absolutely not man, your money, your choice. When I was stuck on the shore, I would have been happy with an inflatable raft and a paddle. You need to get what works for you and your fishing. There are a few guys I see on Wylie who troll around in a Pond Prowler. They catch a lot of fish, especially one dynamic duo I see out there a lot.
For your boat, what type of stuff you looking for? I have stuff at West Marine, BPS, Gander Mountain, Cabellas, and other marine stores.
here is my two man rig, I absolutely love it, I actually fish it ten to one over my big rig. Last weekend it saw 50+ bass in a family farm pond
Basshound 10.2
46lb Minn Kota Trolling Motor
Eagle Cuda 242 Fish Finder (not shown)
Has built in live well, battery holder, hp rating up to 7.5

I have a 10 ft Pelican I keep in my back yard pond.... great little boat. Has many little places on the gunnel to keep stuff from rolling around. Cuts through the water very well. Its actually even rated for a decent little outboard. It is very stable, me and my father are both around 180lbs and we can stand in it just fine. I have a 55lbs minnkota stern mount on it currently. Not sure about yours but mine came with a wired plug for putting a trolling motor on the front. I am considering moving it to the front so I can keep the battery in the back. Should spread out the weight more when Im going out solo, so I dont ride a semi-wheely and the wind won't have its way with me. I am also considering putting a cheap manual winch on it for an anchor.
Sorry, no pictures currently. Im sure you'll love yours.
thanks fellas, this is going to be my regular small lake cove boat. i plan on making it a comfortable all around boat. nice boats, but i wanna see more lol !!!
is that just small utility trailor? i got to get me a trailor
I just got this last month. I have a 50lb Trolling motor and a 8hp merc. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet. I bought it from my uncle, its about 5 years old and used maybe a dozen times over those years. Motor runs like a top.

What make and model is this??
my boat is on just a small utility trailer, slightly modified. i have a bow roller and winch on the front of the trailer, carpeted 2x4 side bunks to center the boat on the trailer and a plastic bed liner floor to make the boat slide on and off easier. All done after these photos were taken, if you'd like I can get new ones.

go for it man.
I bought this last week for $400 bucks,
He bought it new 3 months ago all of it at Gander Mountain for $700 bucks plus the accessories.
Brand new fished once, it's the 8e version prewires for a trolling motor or fish finder.
Came w/seats, brand new Minn Kota 30lb Endura Trolling motor and HD24-DP Interstate Deep Well Battery, brand new as well.
Checkout your local craigslist for a deal.
I am a big guy too, 6'5" 280lbs. This thing works great. I take out one seat and set in middle and it works great. I just need a trailer now. I know you can buy those haulmaster trailer kits for cheap, but I would love to find a local deal.
All i bought to finish it off was a battery charger, anchor, rope, and emergency paddle. That's it.
Good luck with the 10e.
Any got any mods they've done? I need some light mods, and possibly some tackle storage, and maybe rod holders. Thanks

Its a sun dolphin pro 12. I'm kinda leery about how the plastic will hold up, but I bought it for $500 with everything. New they are about $2,500 with trailer and no accessories. (not worth it in my opinion). I'll let you guys know how it performs on (my) maiden voyage.
The plastic will hold up just fine. I don't have the pro. I have a slightly different one but still 12 feet and still made out of the same stuff. I'd take that boat anywhere but the open sea.
In fact, here are two youtube links of me on my "plastic" 12' jonboat (2 man boat)
Motor is a 3.5 hp merc (2009)
i found the raider 10e for 499.95 at acedemy sports. this is the cheapest two man ive seen, hell of a deal it sounds like.
I got this boat fpr $100 and the trailer for $250. It makes a great 2 man rig.
Before my current boat (see my message a few above) I owned the Pelican 10E. Stay off of choppy water with it. Other than that, don't have a complaint in the world about that boat.
thats a nice vbottem man, i like the color.
Sharkbite: That boat is freakin awesome! I love everything about that picture. "The Godson" Hehe.. love it!
I used to own a Buster Boat they make the best 2 man rigs.

;D Thanks man I named it after my grandfathers little jet boat he had. He was a big boater and when he got cancer he had to sell his boats. My grandfathers nick name was the God Father. He looked just like him. So thats what he called his boat. Then he got the speed boat and called it the Godson.
got this the other day. got the roof rack on (took me three hours to put on and helped me form a hatred for the swedish) finally got it on my honda are here are the results for the first day out i was pumped!
T-Rage! You got it! That's so cool to see someone else with the same boat. How do you like it so far?
so far its awesome to say the least helped me catch a 4 and half lber today! ill try and get some more pictures tomorrow when im out!!!! sooooooooooo worth it. and who says a honda accord cant be a f.u.v! that being a fish utility vehicle!

Dude, your steering wheel is facing the wrong way!
so how is the pelican working out for you fellas.
My little 10 footer. $350 with trailer, 40lb trolling motor, battery, and all the goodies. the guy even gave me some BASS magazines and bass fishing books. now if I knew how to catch BIG fish.....
nice boat man
I have a BassTender 11.3 and need some help with mine. Love the boat to out of except it seems to be nose heavy with out the gas motor on the back. Any tips, ideals or what ever would help. Would like to keep the motor off for pond fishing and use the gas motor on bigger bodies of water. :-/
Here's one for all the "little boat" guys out there.
It ain't the boat that catches the fish, it's the man that's in the boat.
Years ago, when I was commercial lobstering, I owned what was known as "a slab". A slab is jargon for an old beat up inexpensive boat, usually an old Novi.
Slabs could be bought cheap, they leaked, and were generally on their last legs. But, with some elbow grease, and a few dollars, they could be made into a reliable vessel.
One day, a good friend, and fellow lobsterman said to me, "You do all right in that old boat." I told him, "Milton, it's the fisherman in the boat that counts the most, not the boat the fisherman is in."
Milton replied, "Ouch!"
Keep in mind, there are some days you will not be able to get to places the "big rig" guys can because of weather. But, there are places you can reach in a puddle jumper, that the big rigs can never go.
I have a pelican 10' and need a trailer. anyone have any cheap ideas?
Two people that I know used a old cheap or free junky pop up camper. All they did is remove the camper part and was left with a decent trailor to modify.
Mine was a gift from my fishin' buddy. I was gonna call her "The Perfect Girlfriend" but after a couple of times trying to get her backed down the ramp by myself, I ended up gratefully accepting help from guys who happened to be in the area and decided to change the name to "Just a girl" because I can do alot of things but it seems when I'm trying to back up the boat I'm just a girl!
She came with a 5.5 horse Johnson, which runs good but takes a pressurized tank, and the tank that came with it leaks. So I just row for now. A guy at work is selling me his 50lb thrust trolling motor when I have the cash, but I don't right now. I want a cheapie loacator too, but until then I usually find fish ok, just not in any great number.
Future plans include an inside and outside paint job, I'm thinking a dark purple (to match my car) above the waterline, an off white or grey inside, maybe a floor and some carpet, and of course good seats.
The thing is, I never want to take time off fishing to do it!

i took my 8 foot pelican out this past weekend for the first time. i have it rigged with the 30lb MK endura as well and man it was awesome! me and my buddy did just fine, the fishing wasnt very good but we had a blast. my only complaint is that the wind can be your enemy and there isnt alot of room for your gear, but we managed ok. i got some of those velcro deals made for the deck of a bass boat to hold rods and rigged them on one side to strap my rods in. i tied up the life vests and spare paddle under the seats so they are out of the way. it worked great and sure beats fishing from the shore. here is a couple pics.
Revive!
Here’s my 10.2 Basshound I turned into a one man bass boat by adding a casting deck on the front.
Its actually extremely stable and can do a whopping 6.1 mph with the 5.5 hp motor. I am thinking of maxing it out to a 7.5 hp just for fun since I can find them cheap around here.
It has a 36-lb motorguide and Lowrance Elite 5 on the front.
I can still fit it in the back of my truck and take to ponds or throw it on the trailer and hit up the local <350 acre lakes (it a bit heavy).
Any thoughts on upgrading the motor? I can’t currently get it on plane with 5.5 hp.

If you have not already done so, here is a great thread to read:
If you go to the Pelican Bass Raider thread, this should satisfy your desire for pics/mods/etc.
I really like mine and use it at LEAST as much and probably more than my 17 foot boat. If you can't find a space to on the ample gunwale to place your scent/lures/etc , you are in dire need of corrective glasses. My largest complaint is its very limited number of "hardpoints" for securing cleats, transducers, etc. and that after a long day with my legs crossed, my knees start to kill me. The latter, I think, can be fixed if I raise my seat some. The former is suspect is engineered that way so the company isn't held liable for some of the excessive things people try to do. I've learned to store the boat at a "lean"on the trailer so that water doesn't fill up the inside after a hard rain or, worse still, seep inside the "shell" or "cavity" of the boat. There ARE plugs for draining the water but it takes a long time and you have to tip it on its end ( rather awkward-especially WHEN there is a lot of heavy water in it).
1998 raptor, much fun.
Maybe use this thread:
Hey small bass boaters! I just picked up a 8 ft Bass buster I think, I can’t tell because it was old. Had water in it but I stood it up and drained I think 98% of the water out, sanded the seat brackets and repainted the chairs. Adding a Minnesota 45 to it and I put in at 3/4 plywood floor that covers 90% of the floor. Does anyone know how to take the top off? I want to check the foam or add some new foam.
12’ “tinny” with a carpeted, removable front casting deck, minnkota 40lb bowmount, a clamped on rear rudder made of plywood to keep the back end from swaying and an eight year old for ballast ????
