I got it because it was a beauty but it turned out to be a beast! I’ll admit it was the eye-catching visuals that got me to test this reel. I thought it might only be able to handle freshwater fish 15 pounds or under. But this rod turned out to be a beast! It has a smooth cast, the handle is oversized which surprisingly makes it very comfortable. I didn’t experience any bird nesting at all. I started out testing at 15 pounds and stopped at 50 and I think it could handle it although I doubt it would be the reel I would choose for deep water fishing, but it’s nice to know that the strength is there. This reel is so versatile, I think it will become my go to from now on. I felt the price was a good value!

This is a very heavy reel. I have not tried it yet because I do not even have a pole that can handle the weight. The reel is so super cool looking. It is heavy duty for some "reel" fishing for sure. I would definitely recommend it just make sure you have a proper rod for it!

This is my favorite reel. It looks great on a all black rod. It’s so smooth and the cast is really smooth. After casting the bail arm does close. This is just an awesome reel. If you have been looking for a great reel then this is it. I would highly recommend.

101 : Excellent Reel looks impressive and....

I threw some 50lb braided line on this and it performed exceptionally well. It cast far and smoothly. The bail locked as it should. It also has a switch to allow backward and forward reeling. It drew lots of compliments and inquiries as to where I got it. I threw it on a 24 T carbon fiber rod and it looks stunning. Took it to the ocean and it performed comparably to any other top brand. I ordered the 7000 so it was large and slightly heavier but I like it alot. Feels good.
