Is this reel good to use for inshore saltwater fishing?

Answer: This reel is for Freshwater and has no saltwater protection.

Answer: It would be great for any light tackle bottom fishing or trolling for blues, stripers, etc. Casting for triple-tail. This is a nice all around level-wind reel.

Answer: It should do fine. I use it for musky fishing and handles 80 lb braid very well. casting and drag system are top notch

This is an amazing reel. I live in middle tennessee and do alot of catfishing. This one throws amazingly far and works great on a short pole for bumping the bottom also. The only thing that is a backset for this reel is that the baitclicker on it is fairly quite. If you are not sitting right beside it you probably wont hear it. If you dont need a baitclick this reel is probably one of the best!

I bought two of these reels to replace another brand. These are ran with 12 pound test mono and are used for channel cats. So far the only thing that I have found that meets with a lot of the other reviews is that it is a pain to flick the bait clicker on and off. These reels cast plenty far for what I need out of the boat.
