Answer: I use 10-12 lb braid or mono. Open the bale, wrap around the spool, tie off using a good knot, set up line spool on an axle of some sort, close bale and reel until desired amount is spooled up.

Answer: no idea but its piece of garbage do yourself a favor and buy a PENN real had my shimano for 4 months before it just crapped out manfuactor said it couldnt be rebuilt like a penn reel stay away!

Caught not one, not two, but three 20 lb beast bull reds with this reel. Had 40 lb power pro and 40lb mono (way over the recommended line weight) and still managed to bring them in. Great reel for the money, still wouldn’t recommend targeting bull reds with this guy but if it’s all youve got rest assured this reel is capable.
