Answer: Then it is a LEFT handed reel. IF you have to swap hands to fight with your left, you are DUMB

Answer: It’s not designed for saltwater use but it will work. Like any salt water reel just make sure you keep them clean.

Answer: it holds plenty for trolling and way more than you can cast.

How do you adjust drag? I feel like no matter what im adjusting on it, nothing happens.

Answer: I kinda had the same problem. I tried to make adjustments with no luck. After months of trying, I sold it to someone and bought a different reel.

Answer: You can definitely use the reel on the peer but I would recommend it as a reel for continuous casting as opposed to sitting bait.

Answer: Not sure what an open bale is, haven't heard of that. This is considered an open face or bait caster.

Can I buy a left handed model

Answer: When I purchased mine, I thought the handle was interchangeable- it was not and I returned it. I needed one to reel with the left hand. I purchased mine through Fisherman's Source (via Amazon) and they did not offer one. This one is now offered through Shakespeare Co., so I wouldn't know. I would recommend contacting Shakespeare Co via Amazon. Hope this helps.

Define right handed reel?

Answer: believe if your righthanded like myself and cast with your right hand u would want the crank on right side of reel I fish on a bank and cast out appx30-35 yds I have 2 of these reel excellent caught pike-perch -bass large and smallmouth even caught a bowfin

what material is the spool made of

Is it saltwater and is it right handed or left ?

Answer: The reel handle is made to wind with the right hand . I would say " no" to the saltwater due to it's size. I can palm the reel. I put 15 lb test on it for catfishing in freshwater lakes. I don't usually catch anything bigger than 10 lb fish or so . I like it for my application. If I were saltwater fishing I would want something larger and designed for heavier test line. Say 30 lbs or so. I would not take this reel with me.

Is this a bait caster reel?

Answer: I use 20 lb test of course the heavier the line the the less u get on the spool I fish on shore into the lake catch small - large mouth bass pike etc largest 26 in pike line held fine plus there are numerous places 2 get snags 20 lb test holds up well hope 2 b fishing in April live in Mich no ice fishing 4 me

It is a pretty decent reel for what you are paying for, the quality is not the best as like a 50 to 70 dollar reel but it gets the job done, my only complain is that I didn't like the tension knob, but other than that it's a pretty good reel for the money.

I got one just to try it out I spooled it with 50 lb braid I have the 7 ft medium heavy action rod with it this reel works almost as good as my higher end baitcaster for entry level and learning this is a great pole the only thing i struggled with was trying to tighten the screw back down after taking apart the reel to clean and oil it. Another problem i had was with backlash nothing to do with the reel though you have to set the spool so just right and I leave the magnet on max all the time and cast slow. I got this primarily for punching in grass but and definitely going to order 5 more for all different types of fishing I would recommend this for begginers

This reel is an Extraordinary Buy. Both for quality and price. If you want a $30 reel that can compete with the reels in the $100 and below price range.... Buy it - You shouldn't regret it. It performs just as good as my Abu Garcia Black Max reel. I know neither of them are top of the line but for the $20 bucks less then the Abu Garcia I thought I was going to notice the difference, that is not the case. Out the box it looks good, matte black and chrome it looks like business, not like a toy like the Shakespeare EZ Cast. It casts smoothly, in my opinion better then the Max? Trust me I was surprised to, and it retrieves just as smooth, Hardly any back lashes, but when it did they for some reason seemed easier to clear in the Agility versus the Black Max. The Black Max is a little smoother on the retrieve due to it having 5 Bearings vs the Agility having 3 bearings but it is barely noticeable almost not worth mentioning, but I don't want to seem one sided. I am glad I brought it and plan on getting another. I did not give it 5 Stars because I have had it for less then 90 Days so I need more time to see if this goodness is going to last. Good Fishing & Good luck to you on all your fishing adventures.
