Is this good for saltwater?

Answer: Not sure. Sold for freshwater. But like anything, freshwater could also be brackish . So , all need tender care by washing in clean water after a days outing and a quick check, lube on the worm gear.

Does this reel have an aluminum frame?

Answer: The reel is Graphite body, carbon fiber and Aluminum alloy as far as the frame I cannot find a description specific to that I can tell you that this reel is worth every penny!

Would this be a good reel for a person new to bait-casting?

Answer: The price-point is great if you decide its not for you. Practice, practice, practice. Read the instruction manual, dont try to cast a mile on your first cast, read the manual again. Adjust the brakes to max to start off, slowly back em off after you get the hang of it. Dont forget, your thumb is also a brake.

If im right handed is it best to buy right 8.5?

Answer: I would think you would want to be cranking the reel with your right hand. So you a right hand reel. The 8.5 ratio is all dependent on how fast you want the retrieve of the lure to be.

Can I use braided line on this reel?

Answer: You can use braided line if it will stay together for you. Just reeling it in no fish on broke were it connects to the rod.

Does it have Dual braking systems?

Answer: I purchased the right hand model on May-22-2021 and it does NOT have dual brakes! It only has magnetic brakes! And it only has 5 Ball bearings! And it does Not have 19 as advertised!

Answer: There are not only centrifugal brakes, but also magnetic brakes, effectively alleviating throwing and prevent Fried thread

Took a chance because of the price. 811 not 851 ratio as advertised and this is 6-10lb rated not 8-12, so thosen are gripes. Also, the release for maintenance broke. No big, I service reels for a job.. I'm Abu for Life, but hey......
!. Very Smooth cast and setup. If you know BCs, this is a breeze to setup.
2. Blistering Retrieve rate perfect for flipping and top water. Came back so fast I was caught off guard. It is 811 but closer to 821 which is a high end BC GR. Very impressive at 30 dollars.
3. One of my customers is a local pro and we went out and tested reels. He saw this and liked it because of the lizard (his favorite bait) and tried it out. Had a concerned look on his face and pulled out the new Revo Ike. $300 reel. Tested both and so did I. I'm getting 3 more because I need backup bc's and because a LOCAL PRO wanted 2 of em.
Summary: If this lasts the season, you have successfully stolen this reel. It went toe to toe with something 10x it's value and held up nicely. Not high end but not 30 dollars. No way. Kastking needs to worry if this is the market test. Valiant eagle cannot compete. Acts like a $150 pro backup reel. A budget Daiwa Tatula or Quantum smoke. 3.7 stars.
