Just purchased this Shimano black cover in SMALL for my new Stradic 1000 CI4+ HG and it fits perfectly. I use their blue one, also a small, on my Stradic 3000FJ and Symetre 2500FI. Velcro and material on the blue one is still perfect and strong after 2 yrs of use. The black one is made exactly the same as the blue one so I expect it will serve my reel well too. The small size fits on Shimano 1000 to 3000 reels. If you have a 4000, definitely get the medium size.

I bought this to protect my Shimano spinning reel while transporting rod and reel in the bed of my truck. It is easy to get on and off and has thick padding to protect the reel. Material feels like neoprene. There are three sizes to match the size of the reel. Smaller fresh water reels would use the small or medium. Larger saltwater reels the large one.
