The Quantum Energy S3 PT baitcasting reel comes loaded with Performance Tuned features and Quantum’s superb Flippin’ Switch technology that performs under pressure from even the most demanding of anglers. The Flippin’ Switch technology allows you to cover more water quickly by depressing the thumbar, making a short cast, and re-engaging the reel without turning the handle. When back-trolling, you can keep one hand on the motor while the other can release line and re-engage. This reel features a versatile 6.3:1 gear ratio that retrieves 27-inches of line per turn with 10+1 (2 PTS, 8 BB, 1 RB) bearings that can stand up to your toughest demands. The Micro-Adjust Adjustable Centrifugal System 3.0 allows you to dial in the exact amount of braking force required without removing the side cover; this allows for finer adjustments to be made quickly when conditions change. With a properly adjusted ACS system, your casts can be incredibly long. The multi-drag disk design combines carbon washers and ceramic washers to provide superior stopping power, lockdown, consistency, and smoothness. Max drag is 18-pounds. The continuous anti-reverse clutch is made from stainless steel to withstand bone jarring hooksets without any backward spool movement.
