Update 9/28/19: From 5 stars to 1 star. The button to release the fishing line broke from the reel on my second cast out this morning. I noticed on the first cast it was making a weird clicking sensation upon reeling the line and after the second cast, the button broke away from the reel.

This reel is was used about 4-5 times a month for about 2-3 hours at a time, so I don't understand how it still broke in this short amount of time. My two year old Abu Garcia reel I bought refurbished from eBay for $18 still works and hasn't failed me yet.

Maybe this one was defective, but if this is the expected quality of this reel, I rather stick with Abu Garcia. I'm still in utter disbelief how quickly this reel fell apart with low to moderate usage and it's basically useless at this point.
I can't return it because I'm beyond the 30 day window unfortunately with Amazon. Unbelievable. I really liked this reel in the beginning.

NotJst4Kixxx : Patience is key to this reel

This reel reminded me of my shimano curado K but just the looks. The whole aesthetic of the reel was a cadence alone. Frame seems to be light but feels fragile. Upon using the reel it took me some time to adjust to what setting worked best for me. Every cast was a birds nest and I couldn’t cast a mile with it. About an hour in I got it dialed it and it started to feel like this may be a good “bang for the buck” option but with Patience that is. I wouldn’t suggest a newbie to buy this as a start off because the braking system seems out of whack but that was my experience.

No problems at all with the reel... Not to mention all the practice runs I did in the backyard... I highly recommend the reel.... Durable, light weight and won't break the bank.

This reel is fantastic -- a great value for the money! Smooth retrieve, solid drag system, with affirmative adjust ability (drag and magnetic break "click" firmly when they are adjusted) and an incredibly comfortable profile. The reel is small and fits in my hand much more comfortably than most other baitcaster profiles (I'm 5'9 with large sized hands), and the reel height really shines for cast control. I'm not having to crane my thumb to open the spool or control a cast.

I've got mine rigged up with 10# P-line floroclear and a 6'10" medium action Cadence CRB6 baitcast rod, and use it for everything from swinging light'ish spoons in my local tributaries for trout and steelhead to cranking or drop shotting for bass. Let me tell you what a pleasure it is to be able to finesse fish with a baitcasting set up! The castability of this reel is such that it's not a problem!

I already had the Cadence CB8 and it is very impressive, so I thought I'd try the CB6 to see if it was a good. It is. While I do like the build quality and finish of the CB8 better, the performance is almost the same. The CB6 is a little a little lighter. Casting is about the same, and didn't notice much difference in the drag. My first catch with it was this 2 1/2 pounder and it handle it with ease.

The CB6 is a quality reel. I put it ahead of my Kastking Royale Legend with was about the same price.

Was a little skeptical about this due to the price, but it's holding up nicely and it does a great job! Using it for senkos, jigs, and topwater lures. It's smooth, no issues with the drag, and it feels better made than my Kastking Stealth (which has already broken and has been replaced). Would buy more cadence reels.
*UPDATE* this reel is 6 months old and today the spool release button broke. Reel is dead. Will attempt to contact Cadence and see if they'll fix it. I also went to Cabela's and bought a Lew's reel. I think I got what I paid for...
*UPDATE 2* Cadence did replace the reel (kudos to them), and 6 months later it's still kicking, but I'm waiting for it to break any day now. One of the grips likes to slip off, and it happens when I land a fish. I can slide it back on, and I do that. But the reel just *feels* cheap. It's not going to hold up.
Bottom line is this, don't by cheap reels. Just suck it up and buy something decent. The cheapest reel I own that HASN'T broken on me yet is my Abu Garcia Silvermax. My Kastking Stealth is in the trash, and this Cadence will be there soon as well. Stick to decent reels, name brand companies like Abu and Lew's.

I bought the CB6-L73 based on friend’s recommendations. The drag has never worked and the breaking was poor. Cadence replaced it for free fairly quickly but the second one does the same. This year I finally gave up and pulled it off the rod and got something else that works great. I have 2 of the cadence spinning reels and those have worked flawlessly.

line winds evenly on the spool. The mag brake is easy to externally adjust. The fine adjust knob works great. The side cover is easy to pull. It was delivered on time. The manual is easy to read. Since i have only used for 3 days I am not clear how i can rate durability ? For my 3 day kayak/fishing trip it worked as expected.

I paired it with a Berkley Cherry wood HD Medium/ Fast and I love the combination. I landed a 4 lb. 14 oz. LMB on it. And it handled it beautifully. I love it so much I bought the CB5. If you're like me and don't like to spend rediculous amounts of money on gear I definitely recommend Cadence. You can't go wrong.

I used this reel on my backup combo setup. It malfunctioned in under a year of LIGHT use. The spool stopped spinning when you reel it. I have 6 or 7 other reels that are much older or have seen much heavier usage that are still going strong. Spend a little more money and go with a higher quality reel. Not happy at all.

I bought the CB6 because i had first purchased the CB5 and was very impressed. I was about to purchase another cb5 when I noticed that there was a sale and the CB6 was going to be a few bucks lower cost than the CB5. I like the faster gear ratio for the rod and style of lures i was looking to buy the reel for. The reel arrived very fast, and the packaging was better than the CB5. Same feel of the body, but is lighter weight, and the handles are made bigger and feels like very strong foam. I paired the reel with a lews heavy 7'03" rod. It casts very VERY far. One thing that I like of the CB series reels is that the tension knob is very sturdy and not turned by mistake like some other brands. The drag is a simple magnetic system adjusted without having to open the reel up.
I give this reel the 5 stars because its an amazing Value for the money I spent. I wish I could buy spare spools for this reel so I could switch line types and keep using the same reel. I will soon order another.
I also want to bring up that I have dropped this reel from the top of my truck. Besides a scratch there was nothing wrong with the reel, I was able to cast a mile, and reel very smoothly.
