Answer: I don't have a normal clicker sound on mine either, but I got my reel on sale for an awesome price... way below regular price.... and I really love all aspects of the reel except that feature ...... I use a lighted alarm system so it really doesn't bother me to much !

I use this reel for catfish only. Catfish Sumo is made in China but well built with brass gears and a good drag system.
The centrifugal braking system is 2 pin but works good for no backlash if properly setup. You can't go wrong with this reel, it's a good buy.

I love everything about this reel. It is easy to cast and also like the alarm button on the side. The only thing im highly disappointed is that i tightened up the drag all the way for catfishing, and i hooked into about a 5lb channel cat it was just ripping the line out with ease.
