on 7/8 size reel can a 9wt and 10wt floating line be loaded.??..Im looking to purchase 8wt rod and overload the line to make casting easier..

Answer: i never tryed it i loaded mine with a 5weight weight forard floating line and a 50 to 70 foot cast inpretty calm winds is not a real hard to do cast i fish in florida both salt and fresh water and i am happy with my reel in both oh i have it on aorvis fequant flyer 8 weight 5 peice 9ft 6in med fast action rod . had this set up for awhile now and use it often caught bass shellcracker bluegill stmpknockers in fresh and snook reds trout snapper and afew small tarpon in salt . excuse my typing skills im a feild indurstral electrican and typing is not my calling Buddy

question one again...can a 9wt saltwater line be loaded on 7/8 size reel???

Answer: If you are only fishing for bass, you can load 9WT on 7/8. If you are fishing for steelhead and pike, it is recommended that you load 9/10

It's sizes 9/10 good for two hands spay rods #7 ( 300 /40 pound backing line + 100 / 35 pound line + Skagit head and tips)

How much backing does the 3/4 take

Answer: Not much...I'm using the 3/4 on a 2 weight, they are very small. I would go with a 5/6 if you are going to use on a 4 weight, as you can get more backing on this. I only have about 30 yards on the 3/4 with a #2WF line. Good luck!

Answer: unfortunately I purchased the 5/6 reel. It easily holds 100 yds of backing.

What's the line capacity (backing + fly line) on the 5/6 model?

Answer: WF6F+60YDS of 20LB

Can this reel be left or right handed?

Answer: Yes, it can. Simply unscrew the cap on the inside if the spool and turn the clutch over.

Where is this made?

Answer: More than likely it was made in China, though it is a good reel. I used a couple of them on a recent trip to Idaho and Wyoming with no problems. The small size is best for 2-3 weight lines, not 4 weight as stated.

Answer: Most probably in China. That's where a lot of fly reels (even some mid-to-high name brands) are made. Quality is really good for the money. I have bought maybe 25 of these kinds of reels from several sellers (Piscifun, Maxcatch, Goture, Avantec, Angler Dream, etc) and have not been disappointed with any of them.

is this a saltwater reel

Answer: The one I ordered was a 5 weight reel which is generally for freshwater (smaller fish). I probably would not use it on larger saltwater fish, although it can be cleaned and "oiled" if used in saltwater.

Answer: Yes, it is....but MAKE SURE you rinse it well after use, and reapply grease to the innards. This includes the one way clutch, remove the spool and the threaded cap, this is how you get to the clutch to grease it. Hope this helps! I use a 7/8 in the salt, it's kind of big for a 7, but perfect for an 8 line.
