Answer: I have used mine for everything from trout to carp and catfish. It has worked great for all of them.

I bought one and for a while it worked fantastic. Really loved it. I had it about less than a year and the gears started slipping. Yet it worked. I like it so much I bought another one. From day one it didn't work. It slipped so.bad I could not reel my bait in. Then the bag drag which I use a lot would not loosen up on the handle. To much hassel to send it back. I just know I will not buy another one.

After 3 trips this reel has performed great. Time will tell for the longevity. I found both drags to have multiple levels of resistance settings making it very easy to adjust for rapidly changing currents and fighting stripers from schoolie sized fish to trophy sized fish. The operation of the reel is smooth and feels well made.

The reel does a good job of back breaking ..but while spooling the reel after getting to cut off 300 yrds of 10 lb line , and he line holder broke off ...it wasnt the end of the world. Gonna go carp fishing on saturday..let see if i ehould send it back or keep it as is ....we will see ?
