What is the recommended line capacity for different line sizes? I want a medium size reel for jigging a sebuki rig set up.

Answer: The Spa-10 is a ultra lite reel. Line capacity is 2 lb.-210 yds. 4 lb.-110 yds.6 lb.-70 yds.

Does this reel come with an extra spool?

Answer: No... I bought one a few years ago and it did not. Almost any reel under $50 these days will not come with an extra spool. If you buy a higher end, more expensive model however, whether Shimano, Daiwa, Okuma, etc., they do usually come with an extra spool. Usually the only way to find one if the reel you buy does not come with an extra, is straight through the manufacturer. But with the advent of E-Bay these days, and possibly Amazon, you may be able to find one there. Hope this helps! Thanks, good luck fishing this year : )

Never Again. I have had one for four years that is fantastic. I ordered two new ones because they were on sale and they are terrible. DO NOT BUY! These are my last Okuma reels.

Reel is good, compared to other reels this one is not as smooth. I was planing to use for ultra light rod but using it for light rod for bait fishing for trout.

J Cartwright : Mine regularly makes a birdnest with mono line

I've been using it for a few years on a lightweight rod with mono line (only stuff I've ever used on any reel) either in 2 lb or 4 lb flavor, with lightweight tackle in freshwater. I've had enough of this reel birdnesting nearly every time I use it. If it doesn't go full birdnest, it'll at least try every trip. No other spinning reel I've used has done this, which leaves me pointing at the reel as the issue. It's very frustrating, and disappointing.

Update: Dropping to one star. I replaced this reel with a Pflueger Trion 20. Night and day experience! The Pflueger is what a quality reel feels like. It put this Okuma to shame. Same rod, same mono line, and lurers... and NO birdnesting from the Pflueger. Used it all day with no issue. Last trip out with this Okuma left me with three birdnests. Glad to be done with this problem.

I use reel this all the time since getting it. Very smooth return, have caught many rock bass and blue gill on this baby. Really liking it quite a bit, would possibly get another in a larger size since it has such a wonderful price point. Two thumbs up!

Decent reel for the price. It'll get the job done. The only thing that bothers me is the bail. Doesn't feel as sturdy and doesn't pop back tightly into place. Also, there's a certain position where the bail can't open because of the handle. It's a good beater reel for the price. Nothing to be excited about. I got it as an extra reel to take on cottage trips for other people to use. Got the job done.

Great little reel, I bought one and when I got it and used it I bought another. For the money you can not get a better reel. I use it for perch fishing and it works great.

I abuse reels fishing saltwater and these reels hold up where other more expensive ones fail. Some are 6 years old and only maintenance is rinsing them off. I use strictly 20 lb power pro braided. No issues ever and have landed 50lb fish.
I recommend them to everyone, unless there won't be any in stock for me...lol
I have 6 now. I might add a couple for Tarpon and step up to 50 lb braid.

Reel seems nice enough for the price. Only complaint would be it's smaller than I expected. It claims 210 yds of 2lb test. I just filled 2 of these reels with 2lb line from a 300yd spool and have enough line left to probably have done a third reel.

For $20 i get it. But the reel barely made a full turn out of the box. Took it completely apart and found out it was due to the needle bearing outer race that prevents the anti-reverse. Not fixable so I fished it the way it was. 3 trips to the local trout stream and it has a mind of its own: locks up out of nowhere (not fun when fighting a fish). Wish I had returned it from the beginning. Now I'm stuck with a $20 paper weight.
