Edit: Garbage, do not buy. I've been babied this thing, rinsed it thoroughly with fresh water every use, and it's already sticking when I pull drag. I have to downgrade it from my Salmon rod to my rockfish rod, because I know the drag would stick and lose me a nice 30 lb Salmon. This is AFTER 3 MONTHS OF LIGHT USE WITH GOOD CARE!

I got my reel, and it's beautiful, feels tight and good quality. Everything looks high quality, the line clicker is loud and snaps nicely in and out, the drag feels good, took almost 300 yards of 65 lb P line Braid. The line counter works, the handle fits in my palm nicely, honestly it feels like a $300 dollar reel.

I'm giving it 5* on feel alone, but I am still skeptical based on price alone. I'll be going for Halibut/Salmon/Albacore Tuna/Lingcod/RockFish etc all summer in the salt, and I will definitely update after I've used it with initial actual use impressions, and then if anything fails I'll update again.

I will definitely be babying it as much as possible, and giving it a good freshwater rinse after every trip, and we'll see how it holds up to heavy saltwater fishing.

This reel quit working the 3rd time I took it out. The first 2 times were Red Snapper fishing in the Gulf. I bought it for the line counter to know how deep we were dropping. It too was off by feet, not inches.....I would not recommend anyone spending money on this...

All 4 of these I ordered failed within two fishing trips. Mainly stripped out the levelwind gears and other small parts but also the drag is not at all what it is supposed to be. I should have known when one reel broke upon initial spooling with line and I repaired it but I needed them so I was hopeful I could get some use out of them. Trolling along and snag a obstruction or a fish hits and runs and the drag will seize up breaking the line or the reel. Max drag on these is not nearly what was advertised I estimate 12lbs max so to get the drag to hold while trolling divers you have to lock it down and like I said it just seizes up because of it. I cannot recommend these for any type of fishing, the guts inside are a cheap direct copy of the okuma magda reels which I also tore up 4 of those, these are the replacements for the okuma reels and they are just garbage. They look good but they are meant to catch fisherman's eyes not fish unfortunately.

I was looking for a smaller and lighter reel on trolling with plugs, this reel fits my needs perfectly, especially considering its price. I had used it in saltwater trolling, and I noticed the gear ratio was very efficient. The drag was optimal, and the reeling in of the fish was very smooth: no hiccups.
In addition, the strike sensitivity is also excellent. I highly recommend testing and fine-tuning the drag first, as it depends on the range of lures that you are using. By calibrating the reel correctly, it served very accurately and thus far I've experienced no failures. (A simple google search will provide sufficient information on calibration).

I've used these reels while trolling for striped bass and am very happy with their performance.
