Answer: Without knowing what type of reel you have or the type of cover you are fishing, the lighter the line, the easier it is to get these baits on top of the water like they are designed to be fished. Go with a 6 or 8 pound test and you should be good.

Answer: Buzz baits are designed to be retrieved quickly and create the chattering sound and leave a wake in the water. Not sure of your equipment but my suggestion is a fast retrieve reel, mine is a 6.3:1 and these baits work great on it.

Answer: Yes. Get the Strike King Tri-Wing. They have 3 blades. They skim over the top of the water and chatter. I wish they made them smaller. Fish on our pond prefer smaller lures.
Answer: I think these are made to not float on top. I caught a lot of northern pike with them by reeling them in underwater causing the spinner to flash.

Answer: The action is great and it makes a loud noise on top of the water I don't go striper fishing. I'm not sure if they will catch striper but you can try for yourself. but for largemouth bass in prime conditions These should catch fish.
Answer: Very disappointed in these lures! I only tried two so far, but neither of the blades turned in the water freely. Also the lures had a tendency to turn sideways. Would not recommend for any fish!

The skirts are really sparse and as a result doesn't stay put on the jig head. The metal wire for the prop is way too long creating lots of play that I had to cut and modify. The "metal" beads are plastic. I'm keeping them as a shirtless buzz baits and already ordered some better skirts for them.

If there was a lower rating than one star, this product would have been rated lower. Obviously Very disappointed in this product. Buzzbaits did not run straight in water and prop would not turn; thus no buzz on top of water. Threw product in trash!

Overall terrible buzzbaits. I would personally replace the skirts for something a little more full. You have to completely tweak them to get them right and even then I ended up breaking some. They do not sit on the top of the water like a buzzbait should.
