Answer: Without knowing what type of reel you have or the type of cover you are fishing, the lighter the line, the easier it is to get these baits on top of the water like they are designed to be fished. Go with a 6 or 8 pound test and you should be good.

Answer: Buzz baits are designed to be retrieved quickly and create the chattering sound and leave a wake in the water. Not sure of your equipment but my suggestion is a fast retrieve reel, mine is a 6.3:1 and these baits work great on it.

Answer: Yes. Get the Strike King Tri-Wing. They have 3 blades. They skim over the top of the water and chatter. I wish they made them smaller. Fish on our pond prefer smaller lures.

Answer: I think these are made to not float on top. I caught a lot of northern pike with them by reeling them in underwater causing the spinner to flash.

What these work on stripers?

Answer: The action is great and it makes a loud noise on top of the water I don't go striper fishing. I'm not sure if they will catch striper but you can try for yourself. but for largemouth bass in prime conditions These should catch fish.

Answer: Very disappointed in these lures! I only tried two so far, but neither of the blades turned in the water freely. Also the lures had a tendency to turn sideways. Would not recommend for any fish!

Tried to use these today, first cast I noticed that it didn't spin. Look for any reason couldn't find anything wrong. So I tried another and same problem. Not sure but I think I can maybe modify it to make it work. Top water baits should spin on top but this lure doesn't spin at all.

Shekshishekki : Disappointing Sougayilang Lure Set

I've bought tons of Sougayilang lures and they've all been a great value and quality...this is their first misstep in my opinion. The skirts are really sparse and as a result doesn't stay put on the jig head. The metal wire for the prop is way too long creating lots of play that I had to cut and modify. The "metal" beads are plastic. I'm keeping them as a shirtless buzz baits and already ordered some better skirts for them.

These guys are deadly for the 2-4 lb bass category, I added white and silver/gray grubs with double twist tails as trailers and caught their moms and dads. Lots of fun to fish, because they are so productive. All the colors work at different times of the day, and even with light winds.

Overall terrible buzzbaits. I would personally replace the skirts for something a little more full. You have to completely tweak them to get them right and even then I ended up breaking some. They do not sit on the top of the water like a buzzbait should.

Durability, namely the rubber band securing the skirt to the bait has been an issue. Even during the 1st outing, we lost 2 skirts. A quick fix is (before using) to secure the skirt with a very, very small plastic zip tie and no more problems. Good action, runs true, I would buy these again.
