How do you spread out the arms?

Answer: The arm thats on the bottom pull straight down at about 45 degrees. Do the same to the other 4 only space evenly out with the two lower ones mirror each other as well as the top two. I put a slightly heavier jigg on the bottom arm, it helps it run true. You can adjust the angles to how it feels snd looks to you.

Both came with willow leaf on center wire and one missing on the outside instead of vise versa. Willow leafs have no stopper. I don’t know why I keep buying cheap brands on amazon I should have learned by now.

This is a great lure! However, it's heavy - real heavy! So use a long stiff pole and really chunk it. Then real it in fast because it's still headed deeper even though you're reeling. It's great for Sand bass (white bass) in open water. Just use very light jigs. As light as you can get. Its seems when you catch a fish, the action of the caught fish attracts others. So if you catch one soon after the lure hits the water, then chances are you'll catch a couple more before you get your lure to the boat.

When adding blades to this rig they added them to the center wire and left the outside wire blank. This will cause the bait to twist because you have to make the center wire bend weird and will not run true like this.

The umbrella rig looks good and eager to throw it. The wire is pretty heavy gage and should hold up well. It took the jig heads well and balancing was straight forward. There are some good youtube videos to help set it up properly. Remember each state has different rules for home many hooks can be rigged. In California it is three.
