Answer: Hi Phuong, it depends on fishing skills. If you are very skillful, it can hold 10lb fishing. But if you are novice, maybe less than 6lb. Thank you!

Answer: I think that matched with a good rod and the drag set properly, up to 15 pounds with no problem. Mine is set up with 8lb line (KastKing) and a 6 1/2 ft rod. It's a great combo.

How do I switch the reel handle from left to right hand use?

Answer: Took me a while but I just figured it out. It only APPEARS to to be non-symmetrical because of the small plastic inserted on the right side of the reel. You can stick a small screw driver on the opposite side (handle side) through the reel and pop that plastic piece out. After that it is easily interchangeable!

Answer: There is a knob on the other side where the reel handle is. Turn the knob counter clock wise and it will come out. The hand should be loose to remove. Switch the reel handle to the other side then replace the knob on the other side then tight the knob tight and that is how to switch it. Good luck.

Answer: If you use 0.2mm diameter lines, that is 0.0079 inch, 225 meters(721.78 Ft) line will be ok. If you use 0.22mm diameter lines, that is 0.0087inch, 170 meters(557.74 Ft) line will be ok. If you use 0.3mm diameter lines, that is 0.0118inch, 170 meters(377.3 Ft) line will be ok.

The reel arrived in a plain cardboard box, but it was well packed. There was no paperwork included at all, so warrantee information and schematics are not available. On the outside, fit & finish appear to be as good as any comparable offering from Shimano or Abu. On the inside, the machining marks are visible on the spool. The drag system is based on a 3x stack of smallish greased felt washers, one of which is inexplicably missing a chunk - clearly, there were some issues with quality control during assembly, to put it mildly. Bail wire is thick and beefy, and the line roller is pretty impressive, relative to the reel’s size and intended line class. Instant anti-reverse is solid, cranking is smooth if a little unbalanced. The tiny paddle style handle knob does not impress. The line roller and anti-reverse account for the 2 of the advertised 12+1 ball bearings. I don’t know where the other 11 might be hiding – I expected to see a few supporting the main shaft inside the spool, but none were in evidence. I didn’t care enough to open the gear housing and look for them there. Bottom line, for a no-name direct from China spinning reel in the under $30.00 category, one could do a lot worse than this. I wouldn’t expose it to salt water or any of the things that live there, but it should be more than adequate for anything from carp to trout, or whatever else might lurk in the lakes and rivers of New England.

I, uh, broke my girlfriend's fishing reel last time we went fishing; somehow the handle fell off and into the lake! I was horrendously embarrassed by that and have been meaning to get her a replacement, and the plusinno HongYing fishing reel is VERY nice, it may even be an upgrade to her old fishing reel. The action is silky smooth, the rubberized handle is very pleasing to hold, and the unit feels SOLID and very well made. I am extremely pleased with this and can't wait for the weather to get warmer to take it out on the water! (Or rather, have HER take it out on the water...:P)

I purchased this Plusinno fishing open face reel for someone who has not done a lot of fishing. I was looking for a reel that would be suitable for a novice (meaning I didn't think he needed an Abu Garcia). I had never heard of this brand but having been offered a discount in return for an honest review, decided to purchase it and give it a try.
I use an open face reel and love it. This one has an adequate size line storage spool, and accommodates line sizes for multiple fish types, large to small, fresh and saltwater (coated in a non corrosive material for use in saltwater).
