What is the approximate line capacity for 20 Ib braided line?

It says made of advanced materials, yet the picture makes it look like the cheap pot metal they used back in the '60s. What's it made of?

Can this reel be able to be put on a 10 ft surf rod fishing from the beach?

Answer: I recommend the 7000 model ol salty reel... For use with a 10 ft. rod from the shore, will work great.The previous answer was based on the 3000, 4000, or 5000 models.

Answer: Yes, the ol salty reels will do well in the surf.

Answer: Sure you can, however I would go with something larger in case you catch something big. Line. Capacity may also be an issue.. I recommend a larger reel for a 10 foot rod IMO.

Answer: Has amazing drag! I’d say yes. Casts a mile I have mines on 30lbd braid and I can sling off the beach.
