Of all the discussion about "Best Angler " on other threads, if you had an opportunity to fish with any of them for a day, who would you choose AND WHY???

I would like to spend a day with Bill Dance...Why? Good ol' Boy and a lot of years of experience. Would be an enjoyable outing! How about you?

Bill Dance, I would love to fish those ponds he fishes with all those hawgs. Other than that, I would love to fsh with KVD on my home lake and see what he can find that I can't ................or vice versa. ;D

If I could fish with anyone, it would be George W. Bush. I'd love the opportunity to push his azz in the water.

But if it had to be someone in the greatest angler debate, I would pick Denny cause everyone could use a little schoolin' and I am a dedicated jig fisherman and I'd like to be fine tuned by the best.

Ike. I have talked with him a few times in the last few years and he is always will to stop what he is doing. He ends up asking more questions than I do and I have learned allot from him.

Now I usually don't dog someone's opinion but when I started reading this post I was expecting there to be names like Fritts, KVD, Brauer and so on but Hank Parker made me stop for a second. See, I have tried to talk to him a few times. He just seemed to be an arrogant person and very difficult to talk to. It seemed like he had somewhere else to be but as long as he was talking about himself he would stay.

I don't think you're alone in your opinion. I've read other comments that indicate he's not exactly like the image projected on his TV show.

that's a tough one, there's about 3 or 4 anglers I would like to spend the day with on the water, but if I had only one choice it would have to be Kevin Vandam......

That is a good question and a great post.

I would like to fish with VanDam. Let me take that back. I would just like to ride in the boat and watch. The speed and precision of his casts, the amount of water he covers, and obviously the way/speed in which he put a pattern together.

For me it would be Gerald Swindle - this guy is a motor mouth and I love to hear him talk. I would also like to fish with Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon or George Cochran. Fishing with KVD would be so cool, but he and I fish differently and I would probably be worn out by the end of the day

I would say Rick Clunn.

I can't belive Bill Dance, made the list. If you've ever met him or dealt with off stage you might think differently. If there is not money in it for him, he wants nothing to do with it. But he is a VERY sharp business man.

It seems some of you have been fortunate enough to have met some of these guys, But I have only met one or two in a simple meet and greet. Simply basing my choice off what I see on TV since there's not much else to base it on. Every star has a bad day, and not every fan is a good one.

I never met anyone on the list...but from watching tv I would have to say Ike would be my first. It seems as though even if you were not catching any fish, you would still have fun. I think every sport needs a guy like him. He adds color and he is also very passionate about fishing.

I would have to go with KVD as my favorite, I've always liked his style of fishing, it's alot like mine...

Al Lindner.

He and his brother wrote the book on smallmouth fishing on a river. I would like him to show me what I've been missing. Al won't mind catching some monster smallies on live bait. I guess if he's going to fish with me, he'll have to come on down to the Tennessee River! I'll bet he would have some fun, too.

It's a toss up for me between Gary Yamamoto and Jimmy Houston. My first pick would probably be Gary Y. because his baits are so fabulous and I like his style of fishing. Jimmy Houston, makes me laugh. I think fishing with him would just be allot of fun, not to mention educational. If this were a list of three, I would also include Roland Martin. He basically wrote the book on bass fishing in Florida.

It would be a great honor to fish with any number of the aforementioned pros. However, I think I'd just like to get dear ole Dad to trade a golf club for a fishing rod once. But if I did have to "settle" for some other partner I'd go with KVD.

I'd have to go with KVD. He has got to be the most versatile angler on the tour.

I can fish any bait, but with a few days on the water with KVD, I know I would be better at them all.

roadwarrior makes an exellent call with Al Linder! The Linder boys can catch fish, PERIOD........ KVD is one of my heros.......the guy can figure out how to catch fish, end of story.......... but, Denny Brauer is my all time favorite! I'm a die hard jig fisherman.....so go figure

I look at this from a different angle. I know I could learn a lot from Pro's but more realistically, I'll never fish with one. Instead, I'd rather fish with a guy like RoadWarrior. I'm sure he could put me on to a few horse smallies! Kent if I'm ever over your way....you know I'll look you up!

all those pros would be kinda fun I guess. But I already know how to catch small fish. All they could teach me is how to catch more small fish. I would like to fish with the late Bill Murphy. Obviously I cant because he passed away so I would have to choose Mike Long. He has caught more then 50 bass over 15lbs and a few hundred over ten. Now he could teach me something. My next choice would be Crupi. He is the crawdad master. If I had to pick one of those small fish pros it would be Aaron Martins. He dominated out here.

Vandam for sure I met him and he was real cool it seamed like he really cared about your questions and wanted to answer them and he took pictures with me and my friends and gave us tickets to the fishing show

and i love spinnerbaits and power fishing

I met most of the old timers at the Superstars tourney in peoia il..

I was a Rig driver...Took them from the civic center launched them and then went back and got them...

David Fritts was very conceded and had no time for a regular person....

Kevin Van Dam was nice to me but was fighting with his old lady....LOL

Hank Parker was a great guy...

Denny Brauer was an ***..He sat in the back seat...

Larry Nixon was cool...

Ken Cook was very nice also....

Jimmy Houston was the nicest person you could ever meet...

But the person I would like to share a boat with would be....Shaw Grigsby

What a guy....He invited me and my girlfriend up to meet his wife and talk in his motel room....

When it was all over he cut off all his lures and handed them to me, and said here take these I told him no but he insisted...What a great guy...
