Bout 18F here, Raul. Just coming out of single digits. Ah! Heat wave!

I consider March 1 the first day of spring .
We've had some 50's and 60's the past 3 days here in Iowa and I've seen several people out in shorts and t shirts!

Makes that just about the last place in North America that I'd care to be.
I haven't seen a bug since November.
We've had it from the 80's to the 40's....not ready for the real warm yet...but dang....we are getting water!!!

Weirdest sight for a California boy was seeing people sunbathing on snow when it hit 20 degrees in Iowa
The bass down here are so confused... They started to spawn and then it dropped twenty degrees ????

How else are we suppose to get our vitamin D .
Yeah, its "arctic" out this way in the high 40's.

I used to walk out to the street to the mailbox at our last house leaving bare footprints in the snow. Loved the reactions I got from some people.
We had two record highs the past week. In for 10-15" of what they call "heart attack snow" tonight.
We are going to be mostly in the 50's and 60's for the next week... should help to soften up a lot of the hard water around here. There is even rain in the forecast for Sunday.
Snow and/or Rain for the next few days.

Yep! I'm off early tomorrow and going to drive around to see what locations have open water. I remember last year being able to get my kayak out on the water in the middle of February. I think it was in the 60s that day and I saw some girls out sun bathing. Doesn't take much to get Iowans out from their cabin fever.

Yep, I remember taking my bass boat out in February last year! Definitely the first time I had ever done that!
We had that weird warm spell all over the country last February.
Preparing for the crazy time of March where anything can and will happen. Suppose to get 2 inches of rain, then 4 inches of snow and after that......wind up to 35 mph. If I had the money I'd be in Florida right now.
It's been mid to high 80's most of the February which is just stupid. It's supposed to finally cool down this month
It was 85°F today with a comfortable breeze. I caught 5 today including a 3 pounder during my lunch hour.

I have been to Mexico several times, the weather is nice but not as nice as South Florida. We also got more fishing variety to choose from in South Florida and I can always visit the northern states if I feel like fishing for muskie, smallmouth bass, etc.

Same here. We've seen bass cruising and one on a bed. I went last Saturday and caught 5, all very shallow.

We had a couple days of high 80's-low 90's down here as well in February.
The pond down the street went from hard water to soft in just a couple of days. It's trying to look like spring, but I know better. Here in eastern Colorado, we always get several false starts before spring actually arrives. When I see green on the trees that are native to this climate, then I know that it's actually spring, and that still doesn't mean that we won't get get a late blizzard. I've seen it snow 16" here in May.
No fishing for me this weekend, I guess. Water start dripping from sky and might last until tomorrow. It is still a bit chilly here after the warm feb month. BTW we got a bit of snow in our neighborhood a few days ago, talking about weird.
