Just wanted to see what everyones favorite month of the year to fish was and why. I combined August with July and December with January because to me they are very similar. (to me at least). Looking forward to the responses. ;D
I chose March, But April is a very close 2nd.
I picked September although October is right there with it.
all of them.
Quoteall of them.
x2, Any time I go fishing is my favorite, It dont matter
Quoteall of them.
X 3..I voted May... ;D
March, and April is a close second.Sound familiar? ;D The big girls are on!!
i picked july/august because of summer vacation
but my bass season opens at may so that is my 2nd favorite month to fish
I put October with September being a very close second. I put October because things are starting to cool down and I have caught the majority of my bass during this month. ;D
def May.
I picked Oct. but March would be my second choice. Actually all the months between October and April. ;D
Late March into early April.
The vast majority of my big fish I've caught, 6 - 8.5lbs have come in that time period.
I like them all but I picked September since I fish a lot of hydrilla lakes and thats the peak time for the grass to be near the surface and the fish are still schooled up in big schools from summer. I can fish all day throwing nothing but swimbaits and topwater for big strikes on or near the surface. When you find them it's usually more then one fish in a small area. June and early July would be a close second for schools of big fish in the grass and thats when I catch some big five fish limits on the lakes that have lots of pond weed. August is the only month I don't like. It's way too hot here in Atlanta for the first part of the month and the numbers of big fish always fall off that time of year.
Jan thru Dec.
Gotta love the summer. Bass are in one spot and can be easily found. Also, frog baits!! Love the explosions that they set off.
Got to love April in NC. First of all, the Bass are spawning, and there is great fishing for them, the Cat fish bite is back this month and they can be almost as fun.
Then trout season opens up and they are jamming in April. If I could, I would take the entire month off of work and fish every single day.
ALL YEAR!!!!! That's the EFF ELL BABY!! ;D
I'm with the majority. I selected May because this is when the weather is nice and warm and the bite is on!

X2
Truthfully, I like any chance to fish, any time of year. I do like the end of April and October for concentrations of big fish up here. June is what I picked because it coincides with spawn here. I also love the dead of summer, either fishing at night, or jigging the slop
any month is good as long as im out on the water fishin ;D
August has produced larger overall averages & more double digit bass
All of them as well. But I would have to say Late April early May.
Later,
I picked July/August simply because that's when my best times on the water have come. As a student, that's when I get to log the most hours, and that's when my buddies and I can really relax and unwind on the water. Ultimately I have to echo what others have said: any time on the water is a good time on the water. I've been getting skunked in 40 degree rainy weather so far this season, but it just feels so good to dip a line.
I went with June, there is just not a better month to be outside, its warm, but not to warm. Also, that is when the nights start to get comfortable round these parts. However, not to sound cliche, I have to agree with the general concensus that any time on the water is welcome and appriciated.
Can I choose all of them?
I chose July/August because even though I fish in the winter months, I hate the cold.
May for sure
Someone had to do it. I picked February, but only if you pick and choose carefully. The second and third day following a warm up can be fabulous.
Any winter month... I have this thing with snakes!
I would have to say all of them, I love to fish whenever I get a chance.
When topwater comes arround .... ITS ON
