What are two lakes that you've always wanted to fish but never have? #1 for me would be Toledo Bend. 2nd would be Dale Hollow. My choices are based on reading about these legendary lakes, and becoming a big fan of the famous fisherman who called these lakes their home waters. Some of the all time greats come from Texas, and Dale Hollow with Billy Westmoreland. What would be your choice, for a dream bass fishing trip?
Okeechobee and Fork
self explanatory
Chickamunga and Kentucky
Boundary waters and the upper Mississippi.
Fork
Toledo Bend
Castaic

Lake Fork and somewhere north with fantastic smallmouth fishing . Maybe Lake Erie .

I live in Wisconsin and assume you're talking about here.
I have never actually fished either of those, are they supposed to be good for bass?
Lake Fork......Kentucky Lake......only 2 left on my bucket list.....
Okeechobee and co-angler on an average day with @A-Jay so he can show me how to catch those beautiful, big, fat smallies.
Thousand Islands and Falcon Lake.
While I am blessed to be in California with so many lakes, reservoirs, and rivers for some quality fishing. I have dreamed of fishing Lake Guntersville (Alabama) and Sam Rayburn Reservoir (Texas)

Toledo Bend
Fork
I retire next year and plan on taking some time and fishing all over these great US lakes. I have been blessed to fish a lot of bucket list lakes and still have a lot more to explore. Hopefully one of them will appeal to me enough to sell my house here in Virginia and relocate to a lake home. I can't wait!!
1. Fork or Falcon
2. Sugar lake Mexico

You ever wanna come to Lake Erie I live 5 minutes from the harbor. Lake Erie pre spawn smallmouth is the best you will ever see! Catch 50 bass easily all between 3-5 pounds no problem.

That would be something .

This!
I'd throw in El Salto and Biwa in Japan for outside the country lakes. All domestic lake already mentioned plus Clear and Castaic.

Yes, very good for Smallmouth Bass! I've never been, but have read a ton about both places.
I friend has been to the Boundry Waters twice that I know of. A float plane flew him and his party from Ely, MN out to a certain location. At the location, the outfitter had canoes stationed with enough supplies (camping and food) for seven days. They brought their own fishing equipment. The group floats back to a prearranged pick up point. Greg told me that by day five or six, he was sick of catching Smallies and Walleye. I called b/S but he swore that it was true.
I've caught one Smallmouth in my life, it was about 6" long on Lake Taneycomo (Rockaway Beach).
So I would love to fish anywhere with a healthy population of Smallmouth.
Largemouth, Mexico or California Delta ????

@Catt you're not that far from Pickwick. It's a great SM lake.
I’m lucky enough to have already gotten to take my dream bass fishing trip- Lake Baccarac, Sinaloa, Mexico. Can’t wait to get back to there for another attempt at a double-digit....fell 3 ounces short last time.
Next on my list of lakes I want to take a bass trip to would be Lac Seul in Ontario, Canada.
Anywhere I can catch a new species of black bass is a place I would like to fish. Have caught many species of black bass so that narrows the list of places I will visit in the future.
Smallmouth- Mille lacs, Largemouth-El Salto or which ever lake is the best-Mexico, Peacock bass somewhere in South America.
FM
Fork and El Salto
Toledo bend and somewhere with good smallmouth. Never caught a smallie.

I don't doubt the smallies.. I've been on a few lakes further north (I'm in Milwaukee) that I was sick of catching smallies after a weekend. Our record was 100 smallies in 5 hours between me and my buddy.
The Big O and Toledo Bend
Okeechobee and Kissimmee
Surprised no one has mentioned Baccarac.
Once you go, you'll never be the same.
You guys are making me appreciate living in the north. I've envied southerners for a long time because of your giant LMB. But then you talk about having never caught a SMB. Makes being able to catch 4-7lb LMB and 2-5lb SMB feel a bit better as you get both worlds.

My favorite place in the world to fish!
The big o and a day on Erie with @Dwight Hottle to get a tremendous lesson on fishing a jerkbait; a real weakness for me. And a night with @Catt at Toledo Bend. Oh, and the Fall with @A-Jay to fish on those clear lakes in MI.
Four outstanding fisheries with genuinely great folks!
Okeechobee and Sam Rayburn for largemouth
Eerie and Hubbard for smallmouth
I've never caught a smallmouth because there aren't any in Louisiana. It would definitely be awesome to fish for some of those brown bass! ????

It's a pretty good drive from Southwest Louisiana ????
A day on Lake Erie with Dwight Hottie, catching those bronze bruisers would be sweet, but meeting Dwight would be enough. Dwight its Big G from FBN.
Never fished anywhere outside of the state of Florida so I could catch a bluegill in Valdosta and be good. I’m going to catch a smallmouth and a walleye somewhere and purchase an 18 pack of PBR and update my Facebook. That’s happening
Love fishing new waters and have been blessed to fish quit a few thanks to BASS and FLW and moving to Tennessee. Fishing the Erie would be cool but was blessed with smallies on the Columbia River in both size and numbers and little boat traffic so was spoiled there. Am hoping to get to Lake Lanier some day and my second choice is....gosh...not sure. Love it all.....
Lake Biwa and Wriggleswade Reservoir.
A number of places, but Lake Okeechobee seems to be the one that will happen soon. My brother moved to Orlando last year so I have at least a free place to stay within a couple hours of the lake.

Just when I was appreciating my location, a 9 year old ruined it all over again.
I was fishing a river and this kid shows up trying to chit chat. He asks me, what is easier to learn on, spinning or baitcasting. I go through the quick tutorial and afterwards I said, I'm surprised you know what a baitcaster is, a lot of kids don't. This little dude tells me, that's because I'm from Florida where we actually have fish! ????

More like after a trip there - one's 'idea' of what 'good bass fishing' is or can be, may be changed quite a bit.
For me personally, after one full day on the water, I knew I would be doing everything possible to get back.
The accounts and descriptions of each trip made there define 'Dream Bass Fishing'.
And I'll be there again in 76 days.

I've been to Lake Lanier, but never fished it. That was back when I was a teenager and had lost interest in fishing by then. My dad used to live in Stone Mountain. He had a 27.5' Bayliner and we had lots of fun being towed around in a 2 man raft. Beautiful lake and sure would like to fish it now. Wish I had still been into fishing then. The knowledge I would have if I'd never lost interest. ????
Id like to go fish some wild , remote lake up north and camp out for a week or two and get some smallmouths., since Ive never caught one .
I think Id be content with largemouths just to get back to Rodman 0again someday. Its only about 60 miles away, but it might as well be 6,000 with my lack of time and extra $ to go.????
Texas / Florida / California / Mexico those 4

I like the idea of some wild remote place too. Camping out, catching some smallmouth and plenty of peace and quiet. That's a real " dream bass fishing trip".
I plan to visit South America to fish for peacock bass, arapaima, payara, and other hard fighting exotic fish. Have caught smallmouth bass and many other species of black bass, they don't fight anywhere near what a equal sized South Florida peacock bass does so I am looking forward to catching a speckled peacock bass from the Amazon.
Now why didn't I think of that!
Gonna put that on my bucket list!!
It may be empty before I get a chance to go but...DANG!

No bass here, so I'm happy travelling to the US, Canada and Spain to get my fix.
Number 1 = Lake Baccarac, Mexico
Number 2 = Bullards Bar, CA
California delta and any puddle Rick Clunn is fishing in. ????

TVA lakes are on my bucket list, the question was 2 lakes, I can't pick 2 TVA lakes.
Lake Chickamauga, Lake Guntersville, California Delta, Lake Fork and Toledo Bend. Those are my dreams.

You are very fortunate that you have visited most of your bucket list places to fish, I have only begun my travels and have a long list of places to visit.I plan on fishing each continent ( excluding Artarctica) for fish I have only seen in pictures and videos. Me and my better half both have good professions so money is not a issue and I will gladly spend thousands of dollars to catch the fish on my life bucket list.
Poor Artarctica, it must feel deliberately snubbed.
I already listed the lakes Id love to fish, but I also wouldn't mind fishing the Amazon. Probably will never happen, but I like the though. I think it would be fun
I consider myself lucky to get to fish Guntersville, Dale Hollow and Chickamauga a couple times each year and, man, are they awesome. Guntersville is hands down my favorite and I’ve never had an “unsuccessful” trip down there. My PB in my pic came on a topwater plug on Guntersville. 8-1. Dale and Chick are a close 2nd, As good as anywhere when they are on but as tough as anywhere when they are off. Dale has some giant bass and Walleye too. My two bucket list waters would be the Upper Mississippi around La Crosse, WI and Sam rayburn. I’d love to hit Texas in the late winter/ early spring and froggin for a boat full of 2-3 pound bass on the Mississippi just sounds awesome!
After reading yesterday's bag weights I'm gonna have to take a trip to the saint lawrence river!

Yeah man, that place just looks amazing. It’s supposed to have some great Largemouth fishing to go with the smallies too.
