It turned out good the only complaint i got was all the packs off soft plastics with only 1 or 2 in the pack so i said this year if it aint a new pack of plastics dont put it in the box

That wasn't our box it was Nate's box that got hung up so I started anther box and I gave Nate first dibs to join the one I started and the box went around really fast with out a hitch :) :)

Ok guys the field is set and if you look at the first page where i made the list of guys that is in the swap is not the order that it will be sent.The way i did it last year was that i started closest to me and then it worked its way to the farthest guy from me and then he was the last guy to get the box then he shipped it to me

Now its up to you guys do you want me to start it on the east coast or the west coast or we could start it in the south but we need to get the box to brushhoggin before February the first because he is moving post what you guys think and ill try and get this out before Christmas and i will pm you guys the address of the person that you are to ship the box to after your done with it :) :)

brushhoggin, if I understand correctly, he puts his stuff in there first, used or new, and the next person takes out what he wants, and puts stuff in to equal the trade, and this repeats till the list is over, in which the box goes back to him, and he keeps the baits that are left.

Sorry I didn't post i just got the box back today the post office scanners didn't like how much lead was in the box i put 4 lure retrievers in the box that was lead so i got a call from the post master that my box was coming back the post master misters is my best friends wife

Actually no, my fishing summer went to crap last year. Boat crapped in spring. Car gave me nothing but problems and I ended up getting tricked into coaching girls little league all summer. This year will be different though, lol.

Takes:

1) Bomber Model 6A in the color Rootbeer Float(I Think)

2) Riverside soft plastic frogs

Puts:

1) Rapala DTFAT01 with Sure Set Hooks - White with Blue Back. Fantastic crankbait for the top of the water column. I enjoy using them around thinly dispersed lillypads and shallow laydowns.

2) ZOOM Swimming Flukes (Paddle Tail) in Smokin Shad. These are great weightless or with an EWG weighted hook. I put a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG 1/8th oz. hook in the package with them. Thats the setup I seem to have the most luck with.

3) Kalins 5" Lunker Grub in Electric Blue. Its a wierd color but they work. Somebody should give them a try, you won't be disapointed.

4) Northstar Custom Baits Hair Jig - Watermelon Red Flash. I've had so much fun with these jigs, they are fantastic. I am very partial to them so whoever takes it out of the box better use it well, haha.

I will be out of the office tomorrow so the box most likely wont be sent out until Monday.

Flat rates do not have tracking numbers, so I cant provide one, I did not know that until I checked last night. Regardless, I photographed the box on January 26 with the $10.95 paid shipping label, date, and delivery address to Chipmunk84's PO Box in Huntington, Arkansas. I PM'd Fishn Hard because I couldnt find his email address in his contact information, and offerend to send him a photograph of the box with all of the shipping information including the already paid postage attached. I can't post photographs from work, but I will be happy to send the photograph to anybody who can post it on here for all to see. Bottom line is, the package was sent out 6 days ago on January 26, 2011. The package was shipped, the issue is on the recipients end.

Since "Chipmunk84" has not responded or made any posts regarding recieving the package, and has not posted anything on this site in over a month, contacting him and seeing if there is a problem on his end would be the best thing to do.

No reason to apologize. Some people on here tend to get their panties in a twist easier than others and start assuming things before letting things run their course. I hope you get to feeling better soon and hopefully you find some great stuff in the box that you can use. Be safe in the cold weather, we actually have solid ice in the ditches here in Houston, so I know it's very cold elsewhere.

OK! I have my pictures of takes and puts! Im pretty sure I'm putting much more than the takes! I'm not sure this intended to be this way, But this should not be a "take whats good and dump your junk in this box!" I have included some things that there were NONE of in this box for the rest of the people! There were 0 swim baits of any kind(minus flukes which i consider more of a soft jerkbait) I put in some of my favorite "less expensive" swimbaits! I use these 10:1 of the more expensive ones as I dont like loosing a $20 bait! There are a dozen 4" swimbaits, 8 3'' swimbaits and then another bag of 8 or so mixed swimbaits! Also I included a bag of Megastrike's new swimbaits, a bag of flukes, a bag of coffee tubes, a bag of chigger craws and a plano terminal tackle storage box!

My takes were 5 used crankbaits, deeper divers!

All of the products I places were BRAND NEW and never used! Some packs did have one or two missing... but mostly full! I hope that the remaining members on here can use what I have placed in here! Every lure I placed have caught me numerous fish and most have caught 4+ lb fish!

I will try and get the package out this afternoon! Good luck to all, and I hope everyone catches many fish this year!

Got the box today, will try and get it out soon. I took a few bags of plastics, about 10 cranks, a lure retriever, and the TD-X.

I put about 13 Hardbaits, 2 swimbaits (NOT the Shadalicious type), a bag of Robo Worm Jig trailers, Put in some Culprit? (Think thats the brand) worms. Also I threw in some little hand poured baits I made, just to see if anyone can catch something with them! I believe its 2 frog type lures and 3 Fluke type lures.

Also, Im assuming its alright if my Dad swaps a few too? Jw.

Sounds like you got some good stuff out of there. Dont think its a good idea for your dad to go through the box though. The rules were only for ten guys and your dad would make eleven. Its not fair to the guys that I had to turn down. Next time we do a Lure Swap he's more than welcome.

Hey guys, Sorry about the delay. Didn't get a chance to take pictures until Sunday. Wife dropped package in the mail this morning.

I have pictures of the original contents, then I have pictures of my takes and puts. I was disappointed by the condition of a lot of the stuff. Stuff with rusty and or broken hooks, teeth marks and paint missing. Swimbaits that are torn. Just felt overall that there was a lack of respect and that the condition of the items put into the package didn't match the quality/condition of the items that were being removed. There was a lot of good, cool stuff last year and this year was not the same for sure. I tried to throw more in than I took to help with the situation.

If anyone has any questions on the pictures, ask away.....

Box arrived yesterday.

I will have it back out in the mail after work today or tomarrow in the AM. I nabbed a few things and put in a bunch of NEW stuff. There were a few things in there not really useable and taking up quality space and they got tossed. Sorry I really couldn't see anybody using them at all.

I'm glad I didn't participate in this one. Lure swaps shouldn't be used as a trash bag to toss in your old, rusted, beat up junk. If something has been used a few times and is still in good shape, no problem. Nobody wants an old rusted crank that you found hanging from a tree at the lake.

I think, in the future, it should be specified during the initial setup of the Lure Swap that only new lures are to be placed in the box. I don't see anything wrong with the used reels, sunglasses, etc., though.

Sometimes people have different ideas regarding what is, or isn't, "good" condition.

Perhaps in the future, there could be a policy where each participant would preferably take pics or at least make a detailed list of the items they are adding and removing, and would post the pics/list in the thread to allow the other participants to either veto or accept the swap. The chance are if you don't know the name of an item, it's not something worth trading. This way, it would be fair and nobody would be allowed to take advantage of the rest of the group, which appears to have happened here. As well as doing this, the box could also have an inventory list that each participant would edit and sign just to clarify.

BTW, was there really a bag of crap in the box? Let me rephrase that, because it sounds like the box was full of crap. Was there actual feces in the box?

I think the idea to either accept or veto the swap is a great one! Also no not literally crap but an awful attempt at pouring soft plastics is what I saw in one of the pictures. I wouldlike to try and start another one and I would be more than happy to be the person that orignally makes the box. First 10 guys to shoot me a pm are in!

Now guys ,we can't let the bad judgement, immaturity, or lack of knowledge of one person derail what could be a promising thing can we? Yes i understand all the things that can go wrong but if you get 10 good, moral people, then they will be able to show a forum of 31000 how great it could be. I am glad to be participating in the next one, i hope to get some things i might not normally be able to get (and put in MORE than i take..remember, its better to give than receive). Sounds like you 2 would be great candidates for the next one. First off on the Daiwa subject, I was under the impression from PMing fishnhard that I could have the reel. I may have misunderstood him, if that is the case fishnhard, please PM me if you want me to send it back to you, or a member after me that wants it. I already took it down, cleaned, and relubed it with Ardent Lubrication. PM me if you want it.

Also took the Mr Twister grubs and the braid, switched a 360 tackle tray for braid, and Gander Grubs for Mister Twister. 13 Cranks for 13 hardbaits/swimbaits.

I thought we were putting in things we had luck with, and taking things that we thought we could have luck with. And I was trying to diversify my arsenal. I saw things I dont have that look good, so I put in things other people may not have that have worked for me. I've never really bought a bait more than $4. Sorry if you thought my hardbaits were low quality. And yes the top fin of the trout swim-bait is missing. It catches fish though. I didn't think that would be a problem. It does dawn on me now after I sent the box I shouldn't have taken most of the cranks and replaced most of them with my hardbaits. Sorry Guys. my mistake. And also, the handpours WERE NOT going in there to replace anything. I put them in there to see if someone could catch anything on them. If nobody wants em' then trash em'.

And Also I forgot to mention that 3 packs of plastics wouldn't fit in the box to be safe to ship. (2 inch gap between box flaps) So I'll ship those later. Sorry I forgot about those. I'll send them to chromedog, or fishnhard, or the next guy in line.

If your after me and think I left you crap, PM me your address and I'll try and make it up to you with some of the stuff I took you may have wanted.

Lets play nice, guys. I was before BC, and there was a bunch of plastics then that I didn't care for. Don't mean they are no good. A swap is a swap. You take some, you put some. Try to even it out. It was my first swap and I enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind to do another.

Here is what I seen based on the items you circled:

Top Waters - beat up, spinners wouldn't spin, rusty hooks

Swimbaits - Trout top fin ripped off, other bait had rips in between the segments

Lipless cranks - beat up, paint missing (1 looked to be a new BPS trap)

Lipped cranks - Not too bad overall, 1 was slightly scratched and the other was a BPS dollar bin lure.

Stick baits - Small Rapala was ok. Other was just stained and scratched.

Btw, I put tape on every single treble hook to make sure things were not ending up in a ball.

Bass Pro shop case was warped and dirty. I actually washed it out as it has soft plastic residue of some kind greasing the whole thing up.

Soft plastics were ok. The culprit worms actually had a watermelon worm in with the pack.

And then there is "missing plastic" that have to be sent out now? I know the box was full. But all you have to do is squeeze the box and tape it shut. Trust me, there was much more in the box last year.

I'm pretty glad I missed out on this... Sounds like BC has some growing up to do yet... You take out new, you put in new. If you take out a crank that is in good condition you put one back that is in good condition. A swap isn't something you participate in to get rid of your crap.
