My prayers are sent. I love Bill Dance.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Sounds like he's doing well after the procedure -- best wishes to Bill for a speedy recovery!
Here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery! He's one of the good guys!
I've seen some YouTube videos after specifically searching for him, but otherwise I don't know a lot about him. I almost 30. Fairly young yet. He seems like a good guy. Seems to me that for the older guys it would be finding out KVD or Scott Martin was in the hospital. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Bill was a major tournament guy, but his biggest legacy is probably his TV show, which ran more or less continuously for about 5 decades. I watched him as a kid in the 80s growing up. He is one of the the best communicators of fishing information the sport has ever seen.

WhaAaaaaa????? I’m 34 and I grew up watching his show every Saturday morning. And he is on every fishing commercial ever. His show actually still airs, including a salt water edition.

As I said, I'm not 30 yet. Haven't had cable or satellite in years. I stream everything like everyone my age. I learned how to Bass fish watching YouTube videos of guys around my age. Bill Dance is lore to me.
I grew up to his shows. his bloopers are classic. There are tons of them on youtube.
hoping he has a a speedy recovery.

29 ain’t that far from 34 on a show that spanned 3-4 decades hahaha. It still comes on, probably even available to stream. I watch bill dance outdoors on YouTube
Hope he fully recovers and enjoys many more years on the water.

How about Jimmy Houston or Roland Martin, those names ring a bell?
Hey, it's a new era. I understand.
I like some of the "New Guard" on youtube, and I dislike others (a situation no different from TV, to be sure)....but they all stand on the shoulders of giants, and Bill Dance is one of the giants.
He even published a few books:
Not even a heart issue can stop Bill Dance......you can only hope to contain him! Great fisherman....great guy....great shows.....one of the first anglers to really take fishing to the next level. God bless you Bill Dance......keep on wetting that line.
Prayers for a speedy recovery
Healthy recovery for Bill Dance, one of my mentors growing up. His bloopers are CLASSIC! May God be with you Mr. Dance and thanks!
Kinda weird that last year he did a commercial of the new Heritage boat where he was having a heart attack. Best of luck to the world's best known fisherman. Hope he makes a complete recovery.

Jimmy Houston is just a legendary name to me, like Bill Dance. I watch Roland regularly on YouTube though because of Scott.
Praying for a quick recovery. His bloopers have had me laughing so hard, I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
I've been watching Bill Dance since I was a kid. I'm praying for his speedy recovery. Got to meet him twice at BPS. Heck of a nice guy.
Bill was a great Tournament fisherman too . He only did it for a few years and had an impressive run . I have my fingers crossed for his recovery ..
I use to watch him on TV when I was in Jr. High School. Hope your recovery goes smooth Bill.

He is a good one to watch for novice anglers. Most advanced anglers will know most of what he will tell you. And his shows are usually filmed at private lakes like Bienville Plantation where he's likely to catch lots of bigger bass.
But I started watching him when I was maybe 10. His show came on Sunday afternoons at 12:30. I asked my parents to get me my first baitcast reel and filled it with Stren mono because he was using it on his show. I thought he walked on water. It feels like he's an uncle to me.

Bill is the original Googan!
Glad to see this today !!
Nice to see he's back on the water again!
Let's hope for his sake he stays out of the water till he fully recovers! Kind of looks like they set Bill up on this one.
Bill's one of my favorites. Been watching his shows since I was a teen. Prayers and best wishes for his recovery.
Bill Dance is an original....Bassmaster, TV Bass fishing host, King of the bloopers and a really nice man who treats everyone equally.
I met Bill Dance following a speaking tour when Ray Scott brought his top anglers to California's Santa Monica Fred Hall Show in '68 when he was still competing as a Bassmaster pro.
I was fishing lake Irvine and returning to the dock with 2 guys standing there. I recognized both instantly one was Dick Gaumer the Fenwick rep and the other had a Tennessee T cap on was Bill Dance. Apparently Guamer had arrange a fishing outing with someone who was a no show and they were waiting for him. I knew Dick and he asked me if I would take Bill out for a hour to fish. How could anyone say no!
Dance had 1 outfit and a small tackle bag and wanted to try out a new worm called a Diamondback. I took him up by the dam where a good bite was on and caught several good size bass quickly off the 1st point we tried. Bill never stopped talking and asking questions and telling stories. We fished 1 hour and returned, he invited me to go fishing with him whenever I was in Tennessee. Never took him up on the invite.
Get well old man!

That's pretty awesome.
You should to start a thread, where once a week you post one of your fishing stories. I for one, never get tired of reading them.
