I am just wondering what everybody does to store their plastics. just this afternoon I took all my plastics and put them in plano boxes man did that give me some room and make it easier to find everything. the sad thing is I have alot less than I thought I did. so the bait monkey and I are going on a date. ;D

I store mine in a small cooler. One big enough for a 12 pack. It has a locking lid, best yet, it floats if it falls overboard.

Falcon worm speedbags. Very convenient and easier than worm binders IMHO. However, I never thought of using a cooler - sounds interesting.

I just buy the big gander mountain tubs of soft plastics. If they need sent, I dip them in some attractant.

I've found out over the years that storing them in Plano boxes OUT of their original packaging, just loose in the box, will warp the box you put them in. Especially any of them that are very oily or greasy. But even some drier ones such as the Zoom super salt + plastics will do it too. Box lid will actually curl up along the edges and actually not even let the snaps that hold it shut work right anymore.

That may be better now that they have changed the snaps on the lids to the colored tabs that can actually be removed. They seem like they snap better. Before when they were just molded on the lid and the lid warped to where they wouldn't grab hold anymore, then I had to get a new box. Boxes that aren't supposed to warp like that are called "wormproof" boxes. Not sure of the Plano clear trays, whether they are or not, but the ones made in the past were definitely not.

So now I just keep them in the bags they come in and have a pocket designated for them on my tacklebag. Only bad thing is I have to pull almost all of them out to get to any of them that are on the bottom.

The cooler idea is interesting. Might have to look into something like that.

I store mine in rectangular Tupperware bins (12 long by 6 wide) with lids. And put them across, I can fit about a dozen or so in each.

I take them out of the original bag because the original bag is wasted space. I put them in smaller Ziploc bags and squeeze the air out of them to save space.

Mines kind of weird but I like it. I have a TON of plastics but I dont use half of them them so I put them in an extra BASS bag in their original pack or in sandwich bags and leave them at home. The other half is divided into four boxes: favorite senko type, favorite craw/creatures, favorite finnesse/flukes, and favorite floating. Then the other ones I like go in another BASS bag that I keep on the boat. Soft swimbaits dont count they go in a hard box in my tackle bag.

original bags (which in the case of *** is just sandwich bags) in the deep side pockets of my tacklebag. only downside to this is i can only cary a few packs with me. thats not even much of a downside because i usually only use two or three styles of worm per trip.

Don't store them out of the package and in a Plano box. The box will warp and be worthless in just a few months. Keep them in the origional bag and store them.

When I store mine in my garage I have two four drawer storage containers labeled and full. When in my boat I have put the small bags in gallon zip-loc bags and label them. Then the gallon bags go in the largest plano box they make. It is so easy to find what I'm looking for fast.

I keep 4 gallon size plastic bags full of the little bags (trick sticks, worms, jig trailers, misc) in a tackle bag that is made for 4 3600 boxes. It weighs 15 lbs loaded up

i have a plano tackle box and i just throw the bags in the bottom and the ones ive used if they arent to torn up i store them in one of the slots.

i keep them in their original bags and put them in different freezer bags for different catagories Ie: worms, creatures, topwater, etc. Then i put the freezerbags in a tackle bag. It keeps everything simple, inexpenisive and i'm able to find baits quickly because i just grab the freezerbag labelled worms if i need a worm, or tubes if i need a tube

I like wraps. In my endless pursuit to try to downsize what i take on the boat, i find that these will hold alot without taking much space. Dropshot baits; Flash,Sluggo and floating worms;and 6 to 10" worms get their own wraps. Spinnerbaits and jigs also get their own wrap.I leave what i don't take at home in their original package, and refill wraps as needed before the next time out.

I finally got all the plastics sorted and put in the plano boxes. I really hope they don't warp but if they do ill just have to find another way. I really like how easy it is to find stuff like this I was so sick of sorting through bags. here are a few pics if anyone is interested. and does anybody know what the bottom bait is, I got in in a mixed pack that I got from a friend.

I keep mine in their package put in a backpack for shore angling. For my cranks I also leave my cranks in the package with a rubberband around the top. I prefer to use an old army bag I think it is the MOLLE bag system.

This is something I have struggled with, and like most long time anglers I have used every method under the sun to store them. Yes, even in the year 2008, they can't make a true worm-proof box. It takes a while, but all mine seem to warp eventually...some a little...some a lot. The problem is, storing them in 3700's is the quickest way to view all your options, you can view all the colors at the same time (easier to make a decision), and it is easier to snag a bait. In a tournament as a non-boater...this is important to me. What I do is, if a box starts to warp really bad, I'll return it for a new one. They will always take them back. This isn't like constant rotation, but I will ended up switching out a few each season.

I should have mentioned, that I keep the individual plastics in the original packaging and then store them in the small cooler.

I believe it is a Mann's mosquito hawk.

As far as storing plastics go, i have all of my plastics in four jumbo worm binders. For tournaments (I fish as a rider mostly so I can't take all 4 binders!) I take the individual bags that I anticipate using from the binders and put them in the large pouch on the side of my tacklebag.

Original bags "organized" into gallon sized ziplocs. By the end of the day everything mixed and shoved into the bottom of my tackle bag.

I will have to try some of these ideas now and get motivated!

I've had six of these for several years, stuffed so full that I have to lay them on their side and squash them down to get the zippers closed, and never had a problem with any of them. And, I do not treat them easy. They get tossed in the boat and car, set on, dropped, walked on ( not on purpose), and they hold up very well.

I have tried the worm binders ( a Storm and a Quantum) but was not very pleased. THe quantums bags ripped and would not stay in the binder. The storm has held up better but it is still not that good.

I now just leave them in original packaging or ziploc bags and stuff them in the pockets of my tackle bags.

the mosquito hawks have a forked tail...at least the current ones do. squeeze the head...if it has a hardnose, then it is a older style mann's mosquito hawk

The only worm bag that has not busted from use. I have several and they are indeed very tough.

I got some bags made by bw sports that i got at sportsman's warehouse - one is a single, the other a double that i found later - you put a strip of velcro on the bottom of original packaging (or replacements) and stick them in - you can rearrange and flip just like a rolodex

I haven't posted enough times to post images, just copy and paste
