Hey yall, this summer I have really had a lot of luck fishing with Yum Dingers and other Senko type trick worms. I have mostly been fishing Watermelon Red color on wacky a wacky rig in shallow water. Have yall been catching any like this? What is your favorite color and way to rig em up??
Check here, everything u need on how to fish a senko.

everyone who uses them has been catching fish on them.
I have been having luck earlier in the season since all this heat the fishing has slowed down a lot.
I usually use a watermelon color senko when the water is clear and red shad color when the water is murkier. I caught one today on the red shad color wacky rigged. Senkos are my favorite soft plastics to use
actually, senkos are one of my least producers. Trick worms are much better in my opinion.

^X2 can get more fish with a trick worm than any other
Yeah they are starting to become my favorite as well! I will try that red shad color because I have been fishing some muddy water from this drought! Thanks! and I agree, loving that wacky rig.On 7/9/2012 at 10:18 AM, AK-NJ1986 said:I have been having luck earlier in the season since all this heat the fishing has slowed down a lot.

I have a lot of luck with trick worms too! I have just now started using Senkos though, and they are producing! It all just comes down to the tecnique and the lake you are fishing! On 7/9/2012 at 11:45 AM, guitarkid said:actually, senkos are one of my least producers. Trick worms are much better in my opinion.

Lets see, how have the Senkos been producing in S.florida. Last Thursday night tournament results for me.
2nd biggest fish caught, 6 pounds even. 7 ounces shy of big fish. Finished in 4th out of 27 boats. All fish caught on Black/blue flake Senko.
Thursday night tournament two weeks ago. Finished 2nd out of 25 boats and had big fish. All fish caught on Senkos.
I only fish GY Senkos, NO knock offs.
Secret: I've also been getting'em on white with some sort of light colored flake at night.
Thats what I'm talking about man! Good stuff! On 7/9/2012 at 12:09 PM, Bassn Blvd said:Lets see, how have the Senkos been producing in S.florida. Last Thursday night tournament results for me.

With senkos, I fish a wacky rig. When I use regular trick worms, I texas rig em.On 7/9/2012 at 12:06 PM, MonteSS said:What type of rig with the trick worm?

I have been using the 3/0 and 2/0 Mustard weedless hooks. Haven't lost one yet
Caught six bass and one snakehead on a green pumpkin with black flake Senko on the Potomac River.
My partner, Mr. Mallard, was killin' 'em on a weightless wacky rig yesterday.
We were about 10' of water and most of the strikes occurred on the initial
fall. He had a little issue with hook-ups, but I think his hook was defective.
Have any of you tried the "Limited Edition" Magic colors in the GY? That Watermelon Red Magic looked pretty tempting but I kept the monkey off my back for once and didn't purchase it.
Almost every bass I've caught in the last 3 yrs. were on a senko. The red would never produce, not a bite, but the pumpkin would do real good. A couple weeks ago I couldn't get a bite on my favorite pumpkin senko so I pulled out a red one and caught 3 on 3 casts.
I have been catching them on wacky rigged zoom centipedes. Senko's are great, but wacky rig just about anything and you'll get bites it seems.
I caught a little 7" on a 5" senko... They work
I love to creek and small river wade fish with smaller Senkos, Texas rig em since it is way too rocky to wacky style. Color based upon the color of the water, the depth and amount of recent rainfall we have seen.
Ok i have some ill give emm a try ....thanks

I fish a lake with a lot of vegetation also, but I never lose my senko! I use a circle hook on my wacky rigs, maybe that will help!On 7/9/2012 at 12:45 PM, Melonman said:I cant seem to find or figure a way to may the wacky rig weedless....i have tried 4in. Weightless and t-rigged in clear water using a SK Shim E Stik watermelon seed has been aces.

I tried the weedless wacky hooks once. After 2 bites the hook was bent.
Switched to 2/0 circle hook without a weed guard and even tho it'l hang up some at least they hold.
Mike
I use the split shot drop shot hooks as i feel as the big weedless one are to big....does it matter ....as in will it effect the way a fish sees it?

I noticed that too with the off set hooks. I bend them flat to make them more weedless. They seem to last a bit longer.
In regards to the weed guard, I have to re bend it every once in awhile too.
Some form of pumpkinseed, or watermelon here in southern Illinois has been working for me. I flip back and forth between wacky style, and weightless texas rig...They look awesome when fished weightless/texas rig. The fish sure think so too!
I really like to throw senkos with a 6/0 owner beast screw lock hook at docks and vegitation on the lakes by me, most of them are really dirty water so the big hook doesnt effect it, but in clear water i go to a 4/0 owner, bubble gum is an awesome color up here as well as watermelon red.
Thanks! I will try out bubblegum! On 7/10/2012 at 10:51 PM, MN_SONNEN_ANGLER said:I really like to throw senkos with a 6/0 owner beast screw lock hook at docks and vegitation on the lakes by me, most of them are really dirty water so the big hook doesnt effect it, but in clear water i go to a 4/0 owner, bubble gum is an awesome color up here as well as watermelon red.
