I'm getting more into shakeyhead fishing and want to try a few different worms. What are your favorite worms and in which size?
Trick worm.
^^^
BPS Flicker Worm. It's an OEM knockoff of the Big Bite Baits Squirrel Tail Worm which is also very good. The slender tail section paired to the large floating plastic nub makes it an excellent shaky head bait and produces more action than other more conventionally shaped finesse worms.
Netbait T Mac in Alabama craw.
Try the smallest Havoc Sickfish
Do not try a craw worm!
Zoom finesse worm, R.I. smallie beaver, Zoom 4" dead ringer, and a personal favorite, a Danny Joe Humphrey's original floating worm.
Trick worms and Zoom finesse worms are staples for me. Also had good success on a rage craw.
Another vote for the NetBait T-Mac. It's a fantastic worm no matter how you fish it. As for colors the two that come to mind are A Magic and Paca Melon.
Zoom shakey head magnum green pumpkin, a go to bait, I keep one rigged at all times.
Bottom hopper on my spinning setup (8lb fluro).
Rage craw, pit boss, craw fatty on casting setup (15lb fluro).
Roboworms, Zoom finesse worms & trick worms, Missile Baits Fuse 4.4 & missile craw.
Gambler weebo watermelon blue core...sits tail up....Grande Bass finesse worm.....bitters or zoom trick worms. I also like put the Gambler Shakey Shad on there, it is a lot like the yamamato shad shaped worm but more durable. Gambler used have a smoke gold color that was good but they have some other good colors like ghost shad, watermelon blue core, grn pumpkin candy red.
The thing about shakeyhead fishing is that it does not have to be limited to the basic baits people tend to think of. I too use Zoom Trick Worms and Finesse Worms as my basic shakeyhead baits, but don't be afraid to experiment with a variety of baits, and don't pin yourself down to just using 1/4 oz. and lighter jigs. One of my staples in the spring is using a 3/8 oz. jig with a 6 inch lizard.
Appreciate the all of the info! Looks like the bait monkey is getting revd up!
I'll throw any and everything on a shaky head if that's what I think I need to be doing. My top producing and most often used baits are:
Havoc Bottom Hopper's....both sizes
Pit Boss Jr.
4" + 5" Yum Dingers
Here in AZ the Flick shake and Roboworms in 7" work when the bite gets tough.
6" fat Roboworms.

+1
Zoom Trick Worm - black grape

Ive loaded on spots with a chartreuse pepper zoom shakey tail but another go to for me is a paca craw. Its like those flippers on it stand up, wave back n forth, and say "neener neener neener, you cant eat me" and triggers a strike too.
My current first choice to put on a shakey head is a zoom big critter craw, black w/blue claws.
I like Creme scoundrels too, they are cheap, durable, and have good colors. I like the live color a lot. They stand up great on shakey heads.
A 4" stick worm works well.(Yum, Yamamoto, BPS, etc)
Rage Tail Anaconda worm has worked well. Harder to come by locally for me, abit pricey, not too durable. They look great & work great, fun bait.
You can put anything on a shakey head so I like to have a little bit of everything to cycle through if needed. Many sizes of trick worms, ribbon tail worms, stick worms, craws, creatures, grubs, etc... I am a sucker for plastics so I really like fishing a shakey head.
netbait t mac worms are underrated..... they work anyway you fish them.
80% of the time, I'm using a zoom trick worm.
The rest of the time I like to have an elaztech fitness worm on.
Roboworm 4.5" straight tail. They come in lots of colors and are a good size to help set the hook even when using smaller sized hooks
I realllllly like the trigger x spade tail worms. Especially in junebug. They have become hard to find tho.
