"best" Time To Buy Tackle 2025

fishing user avatarbassheel reply :

Is there a certain "best" time to buy your tackle in your area? I know holidays are big with TW and such but do you buy more in season or out? Winter clearance or here and there with sales?

fishing user avatarDypsis reply :

My wife would say that I buy it daily.

But I buy most of my stuff from TW and on various forums so obviously sales and when I see a deal I can't pass up.

fishing user avatarRaul reply :

I used to hunt for tackle on a daily basis and many times I scored big time, when another site was clearancing their LPT formula YUM baits I got a huge bunch of baits for a few dollars a bag so to answer to your question, when it´s the best time ? ------> anytime is a best time.

fishing user avatarJaderose reply :

Other than odds and ends, I buy in the winter and use in the summer.

fishing user avatarbuzzed bait reply :

i like to just find the sales and buy it when i find it....  depending on the retailer, there are always sales to be found.

i like to look over each and every clearance rack i can find and i usually can find some great deals.

fishing user avatarSenko lover reply :

I buy lots of odds and ends - a TW sale here, Walmart clearance there, Bass Pro, ect. It adds up :D

fishing user avatareinscodek reply :

decent deals usually start thanksgiving

winter or christmas sales is the best deal but by then what you were targeting may be already gone

fishing user avatarChrisD46 reply :

Best time to buy ? ... When your wife leaves for a few days to go stay with her mother !

fishing user avatarJrob78 reply :

Any time after payday is the best time to buy.

fishing user avatarbigbill reply :

Well I buy online. I look for bargains, sales or free shipping. If I can't find any and I need it I buy anyway.

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

The best time, is when you have enough money to buy it, and no other pressing bills.

fishing user avatarnosdog2 reply :

I like to hit up Dicks Sporting Goods when they roll over seasons, they put a lot o hard baits on deep discounts.

fishing user avatarDye99 reply :

Im so in with the Tackle warehouse driver that he texts me letting me know he is on his way, and to have coffee ready.

I live in Cali and TW has a overnight for $5 so for me I would say the best time for me to buy tackle is when Im awake since Ive got stuff coming in constantly!

fishing user avatarmassrob reply :

Last year at Dicks I got a Veritas and a Lexa for 78 bucks and a ton of baits for cheap. This Year I will be ready for this sale and might go to every Dicks in New England. Haha but seriously they were pretty much giving the stuff away.

Consult the bait monkey, I think it's year round !

fishing user avatarDaleGribble reply :

Dicks sporting goods during fall. They clearance lures and hardware like crazy hem run additional promotions on clearance prices. I bought a pflueger supreme for $45 and a patriarch for $75 last year. Got a shimano crucial for $80 once and a veritas 1.0 for lime $35

fishing user avatarFinCulture reply :

Go to Dick's in the wintertime. They have a large selection and put it ALL on sale usually to clean out for the spring stock, at least at my local location.

fishing user avatarpapajoe222 reply :

I stock up on the majority of things during the big store's pre-season sales. We shop Meijer and WalMart. For groceries, so that's where I'll pick up hooks, sinkers and such as needed during the season.

fishing user avatarJon G reply :

During sales. I will buy stuff here and here but the majority of my tackle buying occurs during sales.

fishing user avatarblckshirt98 reply :

I buy year round when I find good deals/sales.  I pay full retail at my local mom and pop tackle shop to both support them and because they have the best staff around just to talk fishing.  If I didn't need to work I'd retire and volunteer to work there ha.  They do have a yearly mega sale where everything is on sale and tax free, and I'll load up on that day.
