I was searching through my stuff in my wardrobe yesterday and found my first crankbait !! I instantly had flashbacks of all those good memories of my first bass fishing days.
My father bought me this 17 years ago..the good ol faithfull rattlin rapala..Thanks father
Post yours if you still have it
Mine was a white rooster tail that my grandpa gave to me.
The first three lures I 've ever purchased were 2 Mepps Aglia #1 in-line spinners ( which I lost many moons ago ) and a Rapala Original Minnow size 9 in rainbow trout pattern that I still fish with, it 's 35 years old.
My first was an Snagless Sally
a husky jerk in a holographic minnow color
First bass lure.... 5in senko
First lure of all time.... Kastmaster
First thing I used was night crawlers and shiners.
First lure I got was Probably some Culprit worms and Riverside floating air fries.
-searoach
first used night crawlers with a bobber
first lure would probably be a daredevil
Mine was an Orange Heddon Sonic. It resembles a rattletrap but has a top fin on it and not as large as the 1/2 oz.
I caught my first bass on it.
Rapala Original Floater, silver with black back.
I think my first were the Mepps in line, and the ever so popular beetle spin
Creek Chub.........anyone remember?
my first lure was a poe's super cedar 300
grey/black culprit worm
still use em
Wish i had a camera....ABU SPINNAREN REFLEX inline spinner.Only have 2 of these given to me by my dad who didn't fish much.
These started my love and discovery of how awesome inline spinners are.
Not sure how rare or old these things are,but i refuse to fish them so they sit in my tackle box that stays at home.
Mepps Comet size 2 and the Rapala original floater.
Hmm.. truthfully I forget.. oldest I can distinctly remember is a pack of Rattlesnake Curly Tail Worms. (Or atleast I believe thats what the brand was called :-?)
I was a beetle spin junky, when I was a kid. And now I have passed the fever on to my kids. they still produce, makes me want to start throwing them again.
Well, technically not my lure- but my first bass was caught on a Rapala floater.
Rapala Rat-l-trap. I caught 2 fish on this lure on my fist 2 casts ever fishing for bass then lost it on the third or fourth.
Quotemine was a chartruse and black beetle spin, on a 1/4oz jighead. I still fish that same color to this day when the bite is tough, regardless of water conditions.
Yep black and chartruse, thats the one...
1/4 Blue Rooster tail. I was about 9 or 10 when my dad taught me how to use it.
QuoteRapala Original Floater, silver with black back.
x 2
My dad gave me a Helin Flatfish in frog pattern. I caught many bass on that lure. I still have it put away in my museum tackle box.
Falcon
my first was a daredevil spoon. I still think I have it laying around somewhere
A 3/16 oz. Strike King Chartruese Bleeding Hook Spinnerbait
Five of diamonds spoon followed by the daredevil...
First lure I caught a bass on was a black rooster tail.
Mann's "classic" spinnerbait in chartreuse with one colorado blade, I caught my 12#9oz LMB on it when I was 14. That started my addiction to spinnerbaits.
The original Rapala and a set of Daredevil Spoons were the first thing I put in my tackle box when I was a kid. I fished the Rapala for so long that the paint came off and I ended up painting it with silver and black model paint.
The first Lure I ever had was a Fire Tiger colored RoosterTail, the first lure I ever used was a Rapala X-Rap in a Silver color, the action is amazing. ;D
