Your Fav. Power Team Lure 2024

fishing user avatarssbab reply :

I've become really fond of the Power Team Lures, and really want to get these guys out there and share how special they are. Let me know what your favorite is, and in doing this, maybe more people will check them out.

Let's Go Fishing!

fishing user avatarThe Next KVD reply :

Where to start!!!

I like them all for various reasons.

The 4.5" Texas-Rig Jig is AWESOME, Conviction Craws are sweet,  Food Chain Tubes in both sizes.......Can't wait to get send in my prostaff order for the new Swinging Hammer!!!

fishing user avatarTNBassin' reply :

I love the sick sticks, gators, and the jp hammershad. The swinging hammeris next on my list. Been getting my PTL baits from fishhound.

fishing user avatarpaul. reply :

i have seen these advertised on various online sites and have checked out their vids.  sweet looking baits no doubt and i'm sure they catch fish.  but they're out of my price range.  just too many great plastics out there at less than 4 bucks per pack.

fishing user avatarHanover_Yakker reply :

Love love love their Craw D'oeuvres (perfect trailer for a jig), but also makes a great presentation by itself.  The Fincky Tickler is always tied on one of my spinning combos, as is the 10"Ribbon Hinge worm on one of my heavy casting rigs.  Looking forward to putting some time on the water with the Texas Rig Jig and the Gators (their lizard).  I use their grubs as trailers on my spinnerbaits and on a 1/4 oz. jighead when chasing salty species like stripers, speckled trout and redfish.  I also have the Sick Sticks, Hammer Shads and the new Swinging Hammer Shad.

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

They won't win any awards for pricing. 6 Craws for $6? At a dollar per bait, it's not tempting enough for me to try them. If they want to get out there and become more known, that price has to drop.

Fishhound carries their baits, and you'll get them way cheaper than $6. I'm stocking up on them. That Hog Tonic is awesome stuff.

fishing user avatarBassguytom reply :

I use the hammer shad for drop shotting but it's only so so for me. Not in love with them.

fishing user avatarjhoffman reply :

I have every bait in the line except the swinging hammer, guess Ill order that next time. I like their tubes so much I buy the pro packs.

I felt the same way at first until I tried them.  It may seem a little odd since so many people will run out and snag an $8 pack of GYCB senkos but not a $6 bag of craws.  Don't let the price scare you - I've had the same Craw D'oeuvre as a jig trailer now for 6 months and it hasn't been torn yet.  It's landed several 19-20" LMB.  I have even used the Kitchen Sink color in the 3.5" as a stand alone bait for 4 separate outings and it still never tore or was damaged by the fish, including a fiesty 20" channel cat.

If you PM me your address, I'll personally package a sampling of my batch together and ship it to you to try for yourself at no charge :).

fishing user avatarPrimus reply :

I've been impressed so far, especially with the JP Hammer Shad as a drop shot bait and the Craw D'ouerves as a jig trailer.

fishing user avatarAvalonjohn44 reply :

I like the looks of that 7 inch tickler bait.  Might have to drop some $$.

Well.......thank you for that offer. That was very nice. But I wouldn't want to take anyone's baits for what little cost it actually is to just get some myself. Right now, I'm of the mind that $6 bucks for 6 baits is too much for me to get started buying them all up like I do Zoom baits (bags at a time), but it's still just $6 bucks after all, which isn't much in terms of being a lot of money or anything. I also figured they'd tear about like other baits do, but if they don't then they might be worth it. On the senkos, I buy knock offs of those. Strike King Shimmy Sticks.
fishing user avatardumfish reply :

The Power team Hawg scent, strongest garlic scent I know.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I have to tell you that when I first started using their plastics, I paid full price like everyone else.  Since then, I applied and had a long chat with the owner and since have been added to their Pro Staff, so I have access to plenty of their plastics.  I typically order the Pro Packs of 25, so I have plenty of items I can share with you.  I even have several of the Hog Tonic sample tubes they include in several of their packs and will toss one of them in there as well.  My offer still stands.

Just let me know.

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

Ok, you talked me into it. After I made that last post I started thinking it might be fun to swap baits around at times. I will PM you my address. I do not wish for you to include a whole lot, just whatever you want as a small sample. Is there anything at all that you might be interested in that I might have? Maybe something you've been wanting to try and just haven't pulled the trigger on yet?

fishing user avatarComfortably Numb reply :

It is nice to see a bait company with some original designs and not just ripoffs

fishing user avatarcraww reply :

That craw devoure will get your arm broke if thrown under a dock!

fishing user avatarflippin and pitchin reply :

I placed a TW order sunday and have a couple bags of bass doovers, as my buddy calls them coming. We'll see next week if the smallmouth like them.

fishing user avatarCPBassFishing reply :

I have all the baits except the new larger ticklers and hammer shads, as well as the swinging hammer. I really need to get my hands on them. My favorite would have to be the diesel craw atm. Cut off the skirt and you have a wicked jig trailer, or leave the skirt on and texas rig it. Disclaimer: I am also pro staff.

fishing user avatarjhoffman reply :

I am not prostaff and ive ordered $70 in their baits in the last three months alone.

fishing user avatarBassWhole! reply :

Another basement full of plastisol...

fishing user avatarMCS reply :

I am sorta with Rooster on the price per pack but if they last as long as you say yakker

I can see they are priced right. The problem with the higher priced baits I have are two fold less for the higher price, plus they don't last 2 fish. I got a zoom vibe craw that has been through 3 or 4 trips and 10 or so fish, that is the longevity I am talking about. But next time I order some plastics I will give these guys a look because I do like the original designs and if they last that long sounds pretty worth it to me.

Good reviews guys because I woulda never looked twice at this bait just looking at the price :cheer:

Your box of goodies will be packed up in the next day or so, but you can look forward to it including samples of the following......

3.5" Craw D'oeuvres

4.5" Grubs

5" Sick Sticks

Some Finicky Ticklers in 5" and 7"

6" Gators

3.8" JP Hammer Shads

10" Ribbon Hinge worms

Hog Tonic

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

Wow! Thank you so much!

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

I got that package today! These things are crazy good looking! I can't wait to try them on the water. I split the tape on the box and I could smell the garlic immediately, before digging through the packaging and opening the Zip Loc bags. They're strong! Thank you again for the baits! I can more understand the pricing now, they do look much more robust than Zoom baits or some other brands.

fishing user avatarjhoffman reply :

Now you likely understand why I say a guy working in a garlic pressing factory would take notice.

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

Yeah. I opened them in the house and my wife made me take them outside. The odor is still lingering inside, too. I may have to sleep outside tonight with them. She wasn't happy.

fishing user avatarHanover_Yakker reply :

Yeah - they are powerful.  One thing you can use is the large Ziploc/Glad square containers or you can spend the money on the Large Plano Bait Locker.  Anything that will lock in the powerful smell.  Even with the bags ziploced closed, the smell permeates the air quickly as soon as you open it.  Word of advice, don't leave them in your vehicle on a hot day :P.

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

Right now I'm trying to decide how to store them. My boat is outside, I could just leave them in it. Wonder if that smell will settle into the carpet? Haha. I keep it under a tarp, covered up when not in use. I'll probably get some kind of sealing Rubbermaid container and store them in it below the deck.

So far, just looking at them, the JP Hammer Shad and the Texas-Rig Jig craw are my favorites. I am so looking forward to throwing those. That craw just looks like it will kill in my waters.

And every other company was started with multi-million dollar budgets and giant warehouses :tard:

Considering the following they have, and I have never ONCE seen a commercial or major advertisement for PTL, they are doing something VERY right. Its called making great baits.

fishing user avatarJigfishn10 reply :

I got the 4 1/2" grubs and those things are the bomb. Nice and stinky just the way my underwater friends like em.

fishing user avatarBrian Needham reply :

where are yall getting the 7inch tickler??

TW only has the 5 inch?

EDIT: I see them on powerteams website...looking forward to those!

fishing user avatarHanover_Yakker reply :

If anyone is interested in saving 10% on their PTL order, I have a url that not only saves you 10% on your order but also generates a 7% contribution to Heroes On the Water.
