I did a quick search with no results.
As with all things, I started cheap and eventually worked my way up the food chain. I don't want to continue to make this mistake, so fill me in.
After a full year of fishing, I am running critically low on white/clear/spinnerbaits and I am looking to resupply for spring.
What BRAND spinner bait do you use? I can honestly say that I have fished the cheaper of the spinnerbaits, and have found that I catch more fish on, say, Terminator vs Stanley. I also have some War Eagles, but havn't had much luck. I didn't catch a thing on the cheap store boughts.
If you were to purchass a 1/2, white, spinnerbait and you planned on also buying multiple blades, what would you get? This is a multiple use spinnerbait no the TN river system.
I like the Strike King KVD series spinnerbaits, with either the colorado/indiana blades, or the double willow blades. And the fact that all of these spinnerbaits automatically come with a trailer hook makes them hard to pass up. They're always good for 2 or 3 bass in the boat on my trips to the lakes here in GA.
I use some spinners, but not as much as some people. I like the BPS 1/2 ounce lazer eye tandem Colorado blades in white or white/chart.
Have some strike kings a couple stanley wedge and one booya, but mostly use ones I make myself!
Terminator.
Booyah vibra-flx
Stanley Wedge & Rattlehead
War Eagle
Talon Lures
War Eagle
Terminator
Stanley Wedge series, War Eagle, and Booyah.

Terminator T-1. Case closed

Booyah.
War Eagle is all that is in my boxes.

I used Lazer Eye Colorado spinners for many years, and with excellent results.
I then moved up to HeavyCover spinners, a custom-builder who went belly up >
In any case, I don't throw spinners that often, and the HeavyCovers I have left should last a lifetime.

Anything Booya makes is fine with me.
i absolutely DESTROY bass with a plain old 1/4 oz strike king sexy shad (mostly white) with a trailor hook spinner.
i cant say wheather or not a better spinnerbait catches more fish per se.
but i will say they sometimes run truer and stay that way. in that aspect i have to say t-1 terminators.
otherwise... ive caught plenty of fish on wal mart strike king spinners, and i catch bass and speckled trout and redfish on the cheap 1 dollar wal mart spinners just fine.
im not throwing a 9 dollar spinnerbait at a redfish. ;D
T-1 Terminators
I own several War Eagles that I keep throwing because I hear so much good stuff about them. Still haven't done much with them.
Numero Uno producing spinnerbait for me has to be the war eagles
I always threw Terminator T-1, but last season I got a bad batch. Dull hooks, and components falling off changed my mind. Now I use Rattle Head, Stanley Wedge, and Strike King Premier Plus.
Falcon
Rocky Ledge. Once you use one, you won't put it down. Jim has me hooked on them.

I'm a big fan of Revenge spinnerbaits, but I also like the Strike King KVD series as well.
Just like any bait, I think you'll get as many opinions as there are baits to choose from. You really can't go wrong with any of the brands mentioned already.
I love the Revenge spinnerbaits also, especially the 1 oz,I have lost a few fish on them because of the R bend though. Its bad when you reel in and have only the spinners left.Crowcommander
Billy Phillips "GO GO GIRL"
1/2 ounce white /chartruse
1/2 oz. or 3/4 oz. Strike King Premier plus in all white or black with Chartreuse tips.
War Eagle and Stanley
What brand or brands is your local tackle store selling? That's where I'd start. My experience is that some of the spinnerbaits I get in local tackle stores aren't cheaply made at all.
S.O.B Mini Me PJ Special skirt 3/8 oz. tandem with # 4 Willow/# 2 Colorado" dusted" silver/gold blades to cut down on the flash this combo will slay 'em in shallow water around grass cover.
Also was impressed with the 1/2 oz Black Rattlehead spinnerbaits with a single colorado that I tried last year for night fishing.
I also do good at times with a 1/4 Nichols spinnerbait that I modified by shortening the wire and using 1 3.5 size willow blade, good finnese bait in the spring.
There certainly is not a single spinnerbait that is appropiate for all situations but these are 3 combo's that have really produced for me.

Certainly not. Just trying to get a feel. I don't like the thought of shopping everywhere for a couple of lures, but it appears that I will have to.
i use booyah mainly and a couple by strike king. Booyah got the best bang for the buck up here in Canada, they don't have reasonable prices for Terminator's....I need to make a run for them down to Dick's in Buffalo.
I have no complaints with the booyahs over the years, and none so far with Strike King
War Eagle
Later,
Secret Weapon Lures Spinners here. I get the kits that have the bodies, skirts, and a selection of different blades that can be mixed and matched to suit the conditions. That means I don't have to purchase all the different types of spinnerbaits just to get different blade or skirts. Not only that, but they catch fish!
I prefer the old crankbait brand, I replaced the plastic blade with a gold or silver depending on skirt color. Cant find them anymore so i use bass pro baits, IT MUST BE single colorodo,1/4 or 3/8 oz, white or chartruse depending on water clarity. Thats all I use and very rarely go fishless. I do use other baits as conditions dictate but I prefer sloww roling that spinner
Good luck with Strike King KVD series on KY Lake.
Hawg Callers, manns hank parker classics( I know you can get them at walmart but they are an awesome spinnerbait, and last but not least Fat Ratz.http://www.fatratzlures.com/ this guy makes an awesome bait.
I use all kinds;strike king, terminator, booyah, lazer eyes. I have had success on all of them, but if i had to choose one i would choose the War Eagle Finesse. Its a smaller profile, but very castable with a baitcaster and 10lb mono. I throw swim jigs 80 percent of the time im on the water so the spinnerbait has kind of taken a backseat on the list.
