Just curious what everybody prefers
I do weightless t-rigs on my medium spinning rod
I do weighted t-rigs with my Citica
Baitcasting gear.
Both. Depends on the weight and or size of the lure being used.
I use spinning reels because I can control them better.
I use baitcast as much as possible. I'll only use spinning if I'm downsizing to a really small lure.

x3, both, presentation/conditions decides which one.

x4. You have to be versatile.
I'll agree with the wise folks above- both.
For heavy flippin' it'll be casting gear, but for an 1/8-ounce bullet weight and 4" finesse worm it'll be spinning.
I have used both but lately use only my baitcaster.
Baitcaster. I haven't used a spinning rod in three years. Just a preference.

X5.
Generally, weightless on spinning gear and weighted on baitcasters.

Only in heavy wind and throwing weightless do I use a spinning reel. baitcaster for all normal conditions even weightless.
Tried both, but my confidence in t-rigs is on a spinning rod so that's all I use for them anymore. Now for flipping/pitching a pegged t-rigged, baitcaster is the only way to go.
Baitcaster
I use both also, but I prefer bait casters. But it really depends on the situation.
Later,
So how light are we talking to use spinning over baitcaster? Like 1/8 to 1/4.

Any thin 1/8 or under I fish on a spinning rod. Every thing else baitcaster
only soft plastics i'll really use on spinning is when they're very light, or maybe a wacky rigged senko type bait, but I mostly use casting setups these days.
Unweighted always spinning.
Weighted up to 1/4 depends on conditions.
Above 1/4 always baitcaster.

Thats basically where I draw the line. My t-rig rod is rated on the low end at 3/8. I know with a 1/4oz weight + lure + hook I'm easily over the 3/8oz mark. If I'm putting on something smaller than a 1/4oz I'll probably go to my spinning outfit unless it's an 1/8oz weight with a fairly heavy lure. You also have to remember to take wind into account.
I like to throw all of my soft plastics on spinning gear. I think it just might be because of my lack of time with the baitcaster in my hand. But I like the leave the baitcaster to cranks, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, topwater frogs, and other larger lures.

I second this nomination 8-)
I throw most plastics, finesse jigs, and jerkbaits on spinning gear. The Avid AVS68MXF does a pretty good job of handling them in all but the heaviest cover. I typically spool with 8# Sufix Elite and keep a spare spool loaded with 30# PP, just in case.
I keep the baitcasters for heavier jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and lipless and shallow cranks.
Baitcaster for me.
1/4oz and under is usually on a spinning rig.

It has to be really light for me to use my spinning gear... I much rather prefer a baitcaster...

X2. I have way more confidence in a baitcaster.
I use a Shimano bait casting reel for everything.
Everything I fish is on a bait caster. the lighter stuff works fine if you pick the right rod and reel set up to fish it with.
I have one rig that is set up with either 6 or 8 lb. test. It is a bait caster with a saltwater speckled trout rod. I never break off and you can throw the lighter stuff a long way. Just what I prefer.
