What is yalls favorite color and or style worm to fish Texas rigged? I personally have had a lot of success with a culprit red shad ribontail. Just looking for more varieties to try
Funny you should ask this as I just got done organizing my worms. I love fishing Zoom trick worms, and Zoom finesse worms. I'd say 90% of the times I throw a worm it is one of those. (For the record I don't consider a Senko type bait a worm)
Of the colors I use the most will be:
-black
-junebug
-green pumpkin
-merthiolate
-black sapphire
-kudzu
-glimmer blue
-morning dawn
-smokin purple
-greenie weenie
-seedless watermelon
I do use 5" senko's on t-riiged. Also use Havoc, Luck E Strike, Yum and Zoom. I like watermelon or pumpkin colors.
6 inch Manns Jelly worm . I have caught more fish on Black Grape than any other color .
netbait t mac and super t mac worms. either junebug, black or green pumpkin.
Ring Worms 7 1/2
Cinnamon Pepper Neon Junebug Laninated
Fire tail.
6'' Mann's Jelly Worms, grape. I'm also a big fan of any earthworm color, regardless of brand. I have some old Riverside brown worms that I have done well with. I do tend to stick to a thinner profile worm, I feel like they come through the grass better. Everywhere I fish around here for largemouths has a ton of vegetation.
The Berkley Powerbait 10" Power Worms in BLACK
A-Jay
Berkely 6" Power worm in purple flake. I love those worms.
Zoom U Tail
Zoom Shakey Tail
Berkley Power Worm 7"
Green Pumpkin
Tequila Sunrise
Red Shad
I use a seven inch Berkley PW in blue flek.
I use many brands and types. I like to experiment. Trick worms/finesse worms are working right now.
Got a bunch of bruiser and tmac worms to use this spring and summer. I might have too many worms....nah.
Zoom Ol Monster junebug or Trick Worm in junebug
I also like culprit ribbontail worms they got alot of good colors in 7.5 inch i use tomato,black/chart,black/gray. In the 10 inch i like the purple/black and gold/black.i also like zoom trick worms and the magnum trick worms
Zoom Utail motor Oil Chartreuse
Berkley Powerbait Power worms Black Blue Fleck, Junebug, Motoroil
The Plastics:
When Texas rigging i like to use worms or plastics with a lot of action.
For worms, I like to use Berkley 4 inch and 6 inch Power worm, and any ribbon tail worm will work great I've been using the 8 inch Cabelas ribbon tail worm white a lot this year and have produced a lot of fish with them. For beaver styler baits I'll usually use a Havoc Pit Boss. Zoom Fat Albert grubs also work great for me on a slow retrieve.
The Colors:
I don't like the flashy bright colors, I tend to use natural colors. Green pumpkin, Watermelon candy, pumpkin seed, black n' blue, and junebug are my favorite colors to name a few. Sometimes certain colors are better at certain bodies of water. If you don't know what colors to pick, go with a natural color, green pumpkin will never fail.
The Hook:
My favorite Texas rig hook would have to be the 3/0 VMC EWG offset hook.
In addition to Texas rigging I found underspins to work miracles, when you add a plastic to it.
Mann's 6" worm in black grape color. Depending on how the bass are hitting that I will go up or down in worm size.
Every worm Fishog offers. They are extremely inexpensive and works fantastic. I also love the BioSpawn Plasma Tail and ExoStick
Grande bass rattlesnake as of late. Cali red
Rage Tail Thumper
Rage Tail Cut-R
GYCB Kut-Tail
GYCB Senko (weightless)
Rage Cut R (honey candy)
Magnum speed worm (junebug)
Mike
Cut-R - any color as long as its green
Culprit 7.5 ribbon - motor oil
Culprit fat max 9 - okeechobee
Black grape, junebug, pumpkin/chart tail, black with blue tail, green pumpkin, red shad
Zoom Watermelon Seed trick worm was excellent this year on a 3/0 offset hook. I was using a tungsten sinker as well most of the time.
7-1/2" or 10" ribbon-tails, any brand will do.
Colors: Tequila sunrise, red shad, junebug, black, watermelon, green pumpkin.

Texas rig to me means a sliding bullet weight weedless hooked soft plastics.
My standard T-rig uses a straight round bend worm hook like Owner #5103/ 3/0-5/0 depending on worm body diameter/length, fished on Jig/worm bait casting with 10- 16 lb FC line, no braid.
Favorite worms;
Uptom's Customs, Berkley Power (night) for T-rigs.
I like to fish big worm T-rigged; Uptom's 9" & 13" straight or Dragon tails, in Black grape/ blue neon, purple thunder and Aaron's tragic.
Black 7 1/2" and 10" Power worms, ribbon tails at night.

I like Zoom Trick and Finesse worms best
for TX rigging. I've caught some beasts
in the 5-6 pound range with TX rigged senko
style baits, tho.
Find GP/Chartr. tail, black, junebug as most
effective of the last I've fished TX. I use wacky
so much more.
I have 3 that cover most situations for me....5" Roboworm with a very light weight on light line for when it's tough, a trick worm 75% of the time, and when I'm hunting a big girl I'll throw a magnum 'ol monster.
I'm a bit surprised at all the trick worms mentioned. I'll have to revisit them on a trig. I never had much luck/confidence there. I pretty much only rig them weightless anymore.
I use Manns the most but any other worm will work just as well. Another worm that I have the utmost confidence in is the Mister Twister Phenom chartreuse / black core .
6" straight tail in purple, green or black usually.
Large worms get t-rigged, "trick" worms are fished on jigheads in my game plan.
I only keep a few colors these days; watermelon, junebug, red shad and PB&J. If I can't get it on with those colors it's time to execute plan B.
Zoom U Tail in Junebug, hard to beat around these parts.
During the spring and summer months and into the early fall I throw Powerbait 10'' Plum when the sun is out. During the early morning or evening, or cloudy day I like to throw Junebug. Gotta let the fish tell you what they want of course, but that's where I start. Plum is my favorite though
I've caught a ton of Florida Largemouth on a Culprit Black Shad ribbon tail Texas rigged.
Rage Cut R and Anaconda,Just really started using them late in the year and caught alot of fish on them.Gonna use them more this coming year.

Love those Cut R's..The ability to make the tail rise or fall depending on how you rig it...If you haven't already just play with em, you'll see what I mean.
