Just wanted to take a second and say this:
When it comes to worms, I've been fishing zoom trick worms for a while and have never strayed too far from them. Occasionally I've throw a power worm or some 12" larew's or Net's. Well, my tackle shop got in some roboworm's in a really good looking color (it's a dark purple with brown underside) and I said "what the heck, I'll try them." They looked close enough to my go to zoom worms (candy bug) that I figured these robo's will work.
So, took the robo's out and fished them on a c-rig and hammered em'! The fact that they are loaded with salt was apparently beneficial, because every fish I landed ENGULFED the robo. I mean INHALED them. Buddy was throwing the candy bug zooms and wasn't landing anything, just some nibbles a cpl dinks.
I am a believer in the robo's now. Great bait. Been fishing them now for a few weeks and they have taken the place of my ole' faithful zooms. The color I'm using looks SUPER natural when in the water in brighter conditions. The light comes through the worm and gives it a dark brown/pinkish color about halfway to the tail. Super bait. A++. Only downside to the bait is they are a bit more $ for less worms. I think like 10 in a package for $4.50? Oh well....

The best part about them is that every single one of them will have the same consistency. I really love them. Almost everyone who fishes here in the west coast has tried (and treasured) these roboworms.

I use the 4.5 and 6" exclusively for shaky head fishing. The softness creates unmatched action. Black grape is my go-to color, the 4.5 goes on an 1/8 oz megstrike shake2 and the 6" on a 1/4 oz.

I have some and really like them! They are a simple design and simple colors but there is something about them that makes them just flat out catch fish.
On your c-rig, try wacky rigging them. I know it sounds crazy right? give it a shot and you will be surprised.

If it's any indicator I buy them by the thousand count in four colors. Usually I'll have to stock at least one color more than once a year.

That sounds literally insane in my situation. I like pulling c-rigs through stumps and brush and just imagine a whacky getting hung even more than I already do! Next time I get a wild hair I'll TRY it... just TRY it.

I recently tried these Robo worms in a "sexy shad" color pattern. Slayed the smallies on the drop shot with them! Actually ran out of worms during the day.

Aarons Magic, holographic shad, marg. mutilator, ehlers edge, prizm perch, black grape. I have an entire box filled with those 6 colors and they get me by well enough wherever I go.
My pb smallmouth (5.52) was on a 4.5" Aarons Magic straight tail fished on a dropshot. Big fish will eat those little worms.

I am a robo worm fan but I have been in a situation where they didn't work and zooms did, the fish where keyed in on a certain color which I had a robo worm, same size in just about same color but it was not near as transparent as the zoom worm and that was the ticket, transparency. It was a very clear lake and fish were pre-post spawn, some on beds some off beds, hard day only two other guys caught a limit that day..

Im gonna give mine a second chance. I have a couple bags in simple colors, but haven't had much luck with them. I'm a trick worm go to guy also.

Oh yeah guys another tip: the bags are not resealable, so cut a corner out of the top of the bag and shake a worm out when you need one.

Love the 4.5" straight tails. Out here, Salt & Pepper Chartreuse and Aaron's Magic work great in clear water, and Black Grape excels when it's overcast. I've been using them on a slip shot rig lately with good success.

ok found a place that has tons of roboworms, pretty much there whole catalogue. I see people saying how good they are for shaky head but, I keep seeing salt formula, I thought salt made them sink??

They have a floating one... it will say "floating" on the top of the bag...there is salt in them, but not a WHOLE bunch. Had good luck with em. I mean, ZOOM trick worms have salt in them too, but I've used those on a SH with great success. The regular straight tail robo's are PACKED with salt... def don't want to use those on a SH

the salt is only in the bottom layer and in the front half so the tail is just plastic.

ok thanks, I did pick up one pack that says tournament soft floating lures, 6'' strait tail, thanks for responses, though on Trick worms, some float for while other don't, I am excited to try them, fishing has been hell due to rain, this may be what I need to get bit this month.

Im a zoom finese worm guy, but a 4.5" robo in bold bluegill flatout gets em sometimes when my zooms dont.

are you getting them at a discount at that number or just like having that many around? where do you purchase yours?

I am beginning to love RoboWorms. I catch so many d**n fish with them. In my last tournament I caught my 3 biggest fish on it. So far my favorite ways to rig it are.
1) Drop Shot
2) Split shot/Mojo Rig

Funny thing, because I just ordered some from a recommendation. Should be coming tomorrow or Friday, just in time for the weekend. Can't wait to try them out!

I gotta say this.... right about the time I bought some and decided I like em' more than ZOOM's, the bite SHUTDOWN. Night fishing has been garbage. Afternoon bite is a grind. It's been a good day when I catch 2 or more. Other day it was blowing about 20 on the water, so I had to duck off in some 3-7 ft coves and fish the pads. The bite for me has been DONE... deep, shallow, midrange.... It's been tough.
