Mine would have to be a Bomber A.. Or a POP-R.
Skinny dipper or a 5 inch senko.
Mike D
Jig because I can fish it in any cover and any depth.
I'd probably quit fishing over the frustration over what to do with the other 5,000 or so other baits I have.
Northstar Premier Jig
Jig. That bite never dies.
Brush Hog
jig
Adriana Lima
I don't think it's fair to answer this question simply with 'jig' lol. There's so many different kinds of jigs and they all have different things they are good at. Yeah, you can flip a swim jig or swim a flipping jig but there's a reason they make different styles for those things
I would have to say tubes myself because like jigs, they can be fished so many different ways. You can fish it with a jighead for open areas or fishing up in the water column or you can Texas rig them for flipping or fishing heavy cover. You can also skip them under docks and trees if you are good at that sort of thing (I'm not...yet).

Flipping jig and Fluke

I would have to go with a 8" plum color worm. No matter where I am fishing I can always count on this color to produce at least one fish for me.

X2!! It catches big bass all year long at any depth on any water!
4 or 5" senko, watermelon gold flake
I'm assuming were taking one lure for strictly lm bass. It would have to be a 5” Senko.
The #1 most productive lure ever - a plastic worm & more specific a 7 1/2" Ring Worm in Cinnamon Pepper Neon Jungbug Laminated!
An electro fisher.
Buzz frog. When it gets too cold to fish on top I'll drag it on a c/ rig or shakey head. I'm not willing to give up my top water strikes.
Zoom Super Fluke in White Ice
5" Senko - smoke w/ black, blue, n' chart flake, wacky rigged w/ o-rings
An A-Rig...then I could fish 5 lures at one time!!
5" Green Pumpkin Senko

I was waiting for someone to say an a-rig. Surprise it took so long!
(Castiing) Jigs.
1/2 oz blue glimmer spinnerbait.
A T-Rigged and snelled Berkley Pit Boss with a 3/8oz. weight. Flip it, swim it, catch fish with it!
with the way they've been eatin a lake fork craw tube these past few weeks, i may have to go roll with that
7 inch power worm in pumpkinseed. 3/8oz bullet weight.
Alien Head Jig. Can be fished anytime anywhere.
Poison head jig. It can be flipped, swam, and dragged along the bottom.
Manns jelly worm, blackgrape...worked in the 70's and still work today...old habits are hard to break...
Spinnerbait
Easy answer: 5 inch curly tail grub
A 5 in grub in the hands of a knowledgeable resourceful angler with a good assortment of terminal tackle is the closest thing to an all around bait you can fish with.
Fishing for fun, a jig
Fishing for food, a senko
8" big dead ringer.....Red shad......
A bucktail...will catch almost any fish in any body of water and moving the bait a few different ways.
I catch tons of fish on spinnerbaits, even though they aren't my most productive lure overall (various plastics usually are). I just don't think you can get more versatility from another lure than a spinnerbait. They work fished slow, fished fast. Warm water, cold water. Clear water, murk water. You just can't go wrong throwing them and finding the correct retrieve and depth.
It's hard to say no to a jig though too, but I think the spinnerbait gets the nod because it works better in low light conditions, and for covering water.
I have to go with an old faithful...
Black & Blue Chatterbait.
A jig!
Proven today, Im gonna have to go with my go to bait. 6" Zomm Lizard in Watermelonseed red
ribbontail worm
Definitely going to have to go with the jig
One technique would be a texas rig. One specific lure would be a robo worm 6" shaky head in ehlers edge. Crank is a close second, but their is nothing like feeling that tap and setting the hook on a 8 lber.

Works better in low light conditions...Well now this is interesting. Please share...
Strike king Jigs. Flippn n swimmin
Keep it coming guys! This thread is good!
Zoom finesse in green pumpkin on a 1/4 oz shakey head.
Jig, hands down!
so many different responses d**n
Only one? Tough call, but I'd say a mid-sized worm. I'm going with the Zoom U-tail, primarily because it works so well on topwater. You can buzz it on top like a frog. You can T-rig/C-rig it down in the column. Clip the tail and deadstick it like a senko. You can flip/pitch it, if you had to.... Very versatile bait that can be used in different conditions.
Usually I would of said jig. Recently I have been loving the grass minnow.
Weightless Super Fluke, or a Sinko. sorry I couldn't decide on just one...both have proven to me to catch fish at all times of the year no matter how hard it is to provoke a bite...some shade or watermelon in color
GOGOGO! I love this thread guys!! Keep posting!
I just can't stop fishing horny toads... I would just be screwed in the colder times of the year in Mass
I think I'm the first for this one: Rat-L-Trap, Chrome w/ Blue back, fitted with some nice VMC hooks.
It'll sound crazy, but I'd go with an 8" rainbow trout colored Hudd. Not alot of bites, but quality fish.
Now if I was hungry, and expected to be that way for a while, then I'd get about 10#s of senkos and go to bed full.
NGaHB
This was my first thought, exact same color and size too! But i started thinking about the trebles and if i was fishing in a rough spot with alot of hang ups, so I decided on a senko! On 4/26/2012 at 4:10 AM, Clash City Rocker said:I think I'm the first for this one: Rat-L-Trap, Chrome w/ Blue back, fitted with some nice VMC hooks.

Think he means that it works better in low light because of the vibrations the blades put off. Fish don't need to see spinnerbaits and that's why they are a good choice in muddy or heavily stained water.
Have to go with a manns stone jig with a roboworm kickin craw for a trailer
3" Big Hammer swimbait on 1/4 Oz leadhead works great in both saltwater and freshwater.
I'm goin' with Glenn on this one. WHITE SPINNERBAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on BR members! Let's keep this topic alive!
