How is the Booyah Pad Crasher Frog? I have been a Spro Bronze Eye man for a while now but I was at Dicks Sporting Goods and they have the Pad Crasher and Popping one, for 20% off. I bought 3, but not sure if I should go back and pick up a few more. I love th Spros, but with a price like that, is the Pad Crasher pretty good?
My goto frog.. super soft and easy to walk. Great hookup ratio as well. Ive tried koppers live target, spro, scum, Mann's ect and this is the one I prefer.

x2
Pretty much all I use these days. They're just as good as the other frogs on the market but at a fraction of the price. That's definitely a factor I look at fishing them up here with all the toothy critters. It doesn't matter how heavy of braid you use, if a Northern or Musky gets the whole thing in their mouth you'll only see braid flying back at you. If they somehow manage to only get the bait, it's usually shredded.
standard frog i went from spro to koppers then the pad crasher...i switched because the pike were costing me too much in the koppers...since i switched to the crasher, i see no difference except the paint on the crashers goes to hell much faster but not that big a deal to me...otherwise since i can buy 2 crashers for 1 koppers and get the same results, i'll keep gettin the crashers...
Only one I use any more unless koppers are on sale cheap.
Very soft and good action. Maybe my favorite hollow body.
Never been a frog with skirts kinda guy always liked my soft plastic hollow body frogs the best. My buddy from Orlando put me onto the booyah pad crusher jr's and I really like them. Going to throw them a lot more this season.
Never used any other sort of frog but I love the pad crasher.
Although they are not my go to frog, padcrashers are pretty good. The price point is hard to pass up.
I love them. As has been said, the paint jobs wear off after a few fish, but only because fish are actually eating them.....
I fish all three variants, the pad crasher, pad crasher jr and poppin pad crasher with great success.
I also like the Koppers when theyre on sale.
If you're a Spro guy, then the Pad Crasher is a good substitute. So good, it's replaced my Spro baits.
Great bait! Especially if they're on sale- very comparable to spros if not indistinguishable once you tie them on.
I think I've got 5-6 different brands in my frog box.
Koppers look good, but lose one and your mad as all get up.
Spro is a nice middle ground, and if I fished a tournament this is what I'd probably tie on.
Pad Crasher is a great everyday frog, nice soft body thats awfully effective.
The ladyfriend got me some of the Cabelas brand for christmas, the hooks don't stand out enough for my liking, but on a day where I lose a nice frog, they will probably see action.
I finally picked up a couple of the *** frogs and hope to give them a shot this year, but they sound like a different critter, more for around weedlines than over and through pads.
Hope this helps a bit.

For those that want Koppers on sale. Here are select colors and sizes for you. Between the 3 colors they offer, they cover my needs.

gonna try them for the first time this year. i got some of each type in the line to try out...pad crasher(leopard frog), poppin pad crasher(bullfrog), and 2 pad crasher jrs(cricket frog and leopard frog. im expecting the results to be fairly decent and if they are i'll get more.
I ended up getting about 10 of the frogs. Some poppers, some regular size and some of the small ones. I figured, I will end up using them eventually and yall said they are good. Id rather get them on sale, so hopefully I like them, haha.
I just picked up Poppin Pad Crasher in cricket color. What colors seem to work best for everyone?

I tend to focus on the belly and leg color, I like the Albino, the Kuro, and the Cricket.
One thing I think people forget is that the fish only sees the bottom of the frog. That means that the amazing paint jobs on a livetarget frog don't matter too much if the bottom is still just white or yellow. IMO the legs are more important than the paint job. That being said the Pad Crashers have a decent look to them and are deffinetely my go-to frog!
I've been using the plain, white scum frogs for years and they seem to work about as well as anything. I like to experiment on them, putting spots on the bottom with a Sharpie. Sometimes I'll take the skirt off and tie on a short , black, shoestring tail for a mouse. Bass don't seem to care one way or the other most of the time. If it moves and looks edible thats good enough for them.

That is an awesome idea to put the show lace on for a tail! I may have to try that on sometime
My favorite frog and definitely my go-to.

Word!
The top of the bait will look like garbage with all the strike you get. What the top of the bait looks like doesn't mean much to me. The bottom of the bait is more important than the top from a color stand point. I do some modifications: bend the hooks out, trim the skirt/legs, and darken the braid with black sharpie.
I use standard Crasher and a few poppers. For me, the Jr. does an OK job but I adhere to the adage of bigger bait bigger fish! Colors: I have tried them all. Black and white don't attract as many hits as various shades of green & some yellows. I love lighter color bellies: whites, green, soft yellow. Trailers/Legs: I like variety: black, green, yellow.
FF
I throw them as well
My favorite frog. I could more fish on the brown color this year than any other frog I have ever used. I had to buy four of them because I caught so many fish they tore them up. Not only did they eat them, they DESTROYED them.
I only have 2 koppers left for when the matts are so heavy that the booyah won't make an indent on them.
When the matts are very thick, I need something with more weight to it. If booyah ever releases a larger version, I will switch over to them completely.
The poppin' pad crasher has been great for me. Fish it over thick cover.
Popping frogs are the best frogs. The Poppin Pad Crasher is a great popping frog. I wish I could get them in a bigger size and that the paint was more durable.
Whatever the red/black color is called was working tonight in the regular size! 9 strikes 7 hookups 6 landed.
Good frog, nothing beats the Iobee( yes I am on Iobee in frog threads as shimano heads are on reel advice lmao)

Same here.
Just picked up a Poppin' Pad Crasher today. At least a couple bucks cheaper than Spro or Livetarget, so if it works then i"ll be sticking with the Pad Crasher.
I frog fish a lot and I have tried every frog made and I like Ishs frog the best ..it's the only frog I have fished that doesn't get water in it and hook ups r great .. Land pretty much 99 percent of them ... Not the prettiest but who cares it catches them flat out ...
They are a very good frog and walk very easily, and the drain hole in the back keeps them from taking on water. I still prefer the koppers though bc they hold up a bit better and come through very thick cover easier. But both are great choices. Koppers, Pad Crasher, and spro are my three brands of choice in that order.
