What weight does everyone use? I am guessing that 3/8 and 1/2 are the two most popular sizes but wanted to ask.
Allen
1/4 oz.
Id have to say 3/8 but the 1/4 is close.
1/4 to 3/4 for me.
1/4 and 1/2
3/8
best brand: deps
3/8 and 1/4!!!!!!! ;D
½ oz period
same as Catt, 1/2 oz. only
My daughter does use the 1/8 oz.(I think thats right) Pond Magic spinners.
I use spinnerbaits from 1/8 oz. up to 1 oz. depending on the need and they are ALL needed at some time during the year.
Brad
1/2oz is the one I use most often.
Quote1/2oz is the one I use most often.
x2. I love this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Keitech-Double-Willow-Spinnerbait-Wagasaki-14g_W0QQitemZ120217208366QQihZ002QQcategoryZ1493QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem
3/8 oz. and 1/2 oz.
5/8 oz is the ideal for me
99% of the time it will be a 1/2oz. The rest of the time, 3/8.
I too have a time and place for 1/8 to 1 oz., and will use all sizes sometime throughout the season. The size i use most is a 1/4 oz. frame with a 1/4 oz rubbercore sinker clamped on behind the pearl blue glimmer skirt.
The reason I ask is I am having a custom head spun and cannot choose a weight? I too fish spinnerbaits from 1/8-1oz but at $125+ per size molds would get really expensive. Most of the time I am using a 3/8 or 1/2oz depending on different situations. If I can' t soon guess I will just go with 7/16oz and call it a day.

1/4-1oz depending on where im fishing
Mostly 1/4 and 3/8 oz, but depending on situation i'll go down to 1/8 and up to 1/2. If I want to go deeper, I'll put a smaller blade on a 1/2 oz SB.
1/2 oz
I use a 1/2oz. 90% of the time, unless it is the Fall. In the Fall I will use a small spinnerbait to mimic the smaller baitfish. Usually a 1/4oz or a 3/8 oz.
I ussually fish 1/4 3/8 or 1/2 but recently found some 3/4 and I'm in search for some 1 oz
3/8oz mostly but have a arsenal of 1/4oz through 1 1/4 oz.
3/8 to 1/2 oz. I try to keep all my different color and blade combos in both weights.
90% of my spinnerbait fishing is done with 3/8 oz wt size.
1/4 to 1/2. Considering a few 3/4 to 1 oz.
1/2 oz.
The 3/8 oz whirligig wears all hats.
With the rod-tip held high, the 3/8 oz spinner can be fished like 1/4 oz;
with the rod-tip held low to the water it tracks similar to 1/2 oz.
In situations where 1 oz might be needed, the spinnerbait is fired.

1/4 and 3/8 are the sizes I use most, but have quite a few 3/16 and 1/2 oz'ers as well.
I'm going with the 3/8. Ive caught more fish and my biggest fish on these. Reason is just like Rolo said.
Although I do fish 1 ozers on deep points but that isnt as often as a 3/8
3/8 for object fishing up river (pitching along rocks and wood)
1/2 and 3/4 for slow rolling deeper
1 oz for Summer time ledge fishing on KY and Barkley
That said, I probably use a 3/8 oz mostof the time.
