ok mods, i'd like to let you know i dont intend for this to be a bait war or battle of the brands or anything, so i'd like for this to not be deleted...pweeze
what i would like to see is some friendly pics of any fish you have caught on any senko style bait. include a pic of the fishies, what bait and how you were using it, and measurements on the fish if possible!
lets see just how great senko style baits can be!
i'll start this one off...
16" pickerel on a 4" junebug yum dinger weightless and texas rigged.
18" pickerel same method.
16" largemouth on 4" junebug yum dinger wacky rigged.
my dad's 12.5" yellow perch caught on a 4" pearl/silver glitter yum dinger wacky rigged.
my dads 15.5" largemouth caught on a 7" green pumpkin/pearl laminate yum dinger texas rigged.
18" largemouth on a 4" pearl/silver glitter yum dinger wacky rigged.
16" largemouth same method.
17" largemouth on a 4" junebug yum dinger texas rigged.
my buddies 5lber (somewhere around 20" i think) caught on a 5" pearl/silver glitter yamamoto senko deadsticking.
so lets see some senko fish!!!!

c'mon pplz! lets see some fish!

I hate to be nosy, but what are you trying to accomplish here? Senkos are great fish catchers; so are dozens of other lures. To the best of my knowledge, Senko fish don't look that much different from crankbait fish or topwater fish. I've caught bass on Senkos ranging from 722", as well as other species.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish..... One to many Senko fish.
Doctor Suess I am not, but I catch way to many fish on Senkos to post a pic.
jeeze, i wasnt trying to accomplish anything, i just simply wanted to see some pics of some fish anyone has caught on a senko.....
Why don't you go to the top of the board and read the Senko thread under the "Important Topics" section. My young sir, you are kicking a dead horse. Senko fishing has been discussed so much on this board that most any regular who sees the word Senko will simply ignore the thread, let alone take the time to post photos. You have discovered nothing new and very few of us really care these days. I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but I will offer congratulations on your catch.
LOL....poor kid. :
Nice pictures....but I hate pike, pickerel or whatever you want to call them. Around here we call 'em "gators". Ain't good for nothing but fertilizer if you ask me.
Okay,
Let's see some pics!
That is a freakin' FAT pickerel - can't say I would be ticked off if I caught that slime dart.
I think some of you guys need to chill.
The kid just wants to see some pics of fish that were caught on a senko.
Don't like it......than don't post. No need to tell him that he is beating a dead horse. I post here everyday and I don't skip over these "Senko" threads.
The thing I like about the plastic stick baits is that anyone can fish them and catch some nice quality fish. Like my wife and son.
My sons fish.
My wifes fish
Brents Trick Stick has been my #1 bait this year in many colors. I'll post some of those pictures later. I don't have them with me at work.
Keep catching those fish Dave. And remember no thread is a stupid thread. Keep it up with your nice pics.

Long Mike will be leading a sensitivity training class.
I understand there a few seats still available.
one suggestion dont hold bass like you are doing yours cocking them up to far by there jaw. hold them more vertical, i hate when people twist them up by only the lower jaw!

I agree. If your going to hold them horizantol like that than make sure your supporting the belly area with your other hand. Too much stress is being applied to there jaw area. Something I'm trying to teach my son more about.
never caught a pickerel on a senko before. Nice fish

This is excellent advice. Don't you wish some of the stars of TV bass fishing did likewise?
that is a big pickerel!!!! im suprised it only weighs 5 pounds tho. MD state record is 7 pounds something ounces so imagine how big that would be!
nice pics davis
here I thought this was going to be a thread about new Senko swimbaits.
wow nice pikeral. How long my guess is 28 inches
This was caught on a 6 inch watermellon blackflake Senko, bounced off of a stump in a cove with 6 foot deep water. This is as high as my son pictured here would hold him up for fear of the fish slapping him in the face. He learns from his experiences well. Same fish in the avitar.
Hey senko that looks like a hog dude. The real question is who is bigger? Your son or the fish? Your lucky that thing didn't eat him for lunch!
Great catch for the tyke!
QuoteFigured i'd post the Provincial Record that came to be the Canadian Record Pickerel (since everybody seems to love and respect them, LOL) caught on a 5" Trick Stick.B
Two questions Brent.
1. What's a pickerel?
2. Where's Canada?
i caught pickerel before that length but not that fat. Nice 8-)
that is a big ole bass man!!!! i wish i could get big fish on senkos. i catch lots, but nothing big.
When you get tired of catching too many little fish, upsize to the 6" Senko.

Why is everybody giving this kid a hard time for? Take it easy....
cranky.....
also, if this is such a dead topic, why did you take up the time to comment.....apparently it does interest you...
also, if your gonna be rude to this young guy, than speak for yourself.....dont speak for others
anyway, the kid is basicly saying that you can catch many different types of fish on senkos..i get what hes saying
i dont have any pics....but iv pulled up many different types of fish on a senko..
I see where he wrote Senko style bait but Ummmmmmmmmm. What am I missing here? He makes a post about wanting to see pictures of fish caught on Senkos right? Then everyone gives the kid grief because of his post and his beating a dead horse with his pics of senko caught bass right? The post has Senko in the title and not YUM right?
Then why were 8 of the kids first 9 photos of "Senko Fish" that he posted, caught with a freaking YUM brand soft plastic? Either I'm braindead, or something just isn't right here. :-/ Did you mean, pics of ANY soft plastic worm?

Quotewww.*.com/pages.php?id=11Here's some pics (mostly from salt sticks) and wouldn't you know it RW, there is an 8lbs plus on a 4" stick! In Maine of all places. Can't be too many bigger bass than that in there! Small bait and a big fish.........must be the first time ever :
b
QuoteThe point is NOT about smaller baits catching big bass, but all the little bass that get in the way. Bigger baits don't eliminate all the little fish, but they seem to discourage some. What I was trying to convey is that soft platistics are a very successful class of lures and after awhile, you might be catching too many fish. I don't want to catch little fish, so I upsized to a larger presentation. I catch fewer fish, but the average size is better.

I added the bold.
thank you tyrius. :
yea i have a pack of 7" yum dingers and my dad has caught some pretty nice fish on those...i dont like them tho...but he has more patience than me (must be an old timey thing :) j/k.
here are some fish he caught on the 7" worm, i think they were both around 18":
that second one was a little bigger and that thing fought like no tomorrow. when he hooked it it fought for a little and then just hunkered down to the bottom. his rod was at a steady bend all the way to the middle and the line was dead still. I thought he was snagged but he insisted it was a fish. he wasnt doing anything and niether was the fish. it was like that for about 30seconds. then i grabbed his line with my finger and gave it a little tug and it tugged back HARD then the fish slowly tired out and was landed.
A fish that small ate one of those giant sausages?? Cool! Thought those things were for sharks or somethin.
