What are you guys most productive baits... The baits that catch you the most fish. Is this bait your favorite bait or not? If not what is your favorite bait to fish and why?
For me the bait that produces the most quality fish for me is the senko. Now I use green white and black ones and I always catch decent fish with them. However my favorite baits to fish are topwater baits. I love seeing the bass come up and hammer poppers, spooks, and baits like that so they are my favorite to fish even though they do not produce as many fish as the senko....
Most productive would have to be a 1/4 oz. single willow spinnerbait, and a homemade 5/16 oz. Eakin's-style jig (covering the broadest range of conditions).
My favorite bait to fish, however, would have to be a buzzbait.
My overall favorite baits to fish are crankbaits, though. They also tend to catch very good quality fish - - and I just dig fishing them whenever possible.
But if somebody told me I would win (x) prize if I could catch a bass in the next 5 minutes......hands down, no doubt I would tie on a Norman's Crappie Crankbait as fast as I could. It catches Spots, LM, and SM equally well and ALWAYS gets bites (you might be surprised at the quality of the bites, too....)
My most productive bait: a 4" watermelon w/ black flk. senko.
My favorite bait to fish: a cavitron buzzbait with a luckycraft RC crank coming in a close second.
Most productive bait is a green and white terminator spinnerbait, with tandem colorado blades.
Favorite bait to fish is the Megabass Cyclone Crankbait, it is sort of a brownish color with pearl sides. When the crankbait bite is on, I love throwing this bait. Runner up is a big fat Bagley shallow running, square lipped wake bait.
My most productive bait is a the 5in Senko but my most favorite to fish is topwater baits like a LC Sammy or a buzzbait. There is just something about a big o bass jumping out of the water and destroying a topwater bait.
My most productive bait: Magic Shad (it is also my least favorite to fish because it tears apart so easily but I fish it because it produces).
Favorite bait to fish: Crankbaits
Cheers!
most productive is senkos, but they aren't may favorite due to the durablity
The SwimSenko pumpkin has boated the most fish this year, but in all fairness, it was the bait I used the most.
Jitterbugs and spooks are my favorite to fish.
Overall and in order: Most Productive
6" Senko (not knock-offs)
Fat Ika
Micro Munch Tackle El Gordo tube

GYCB Kreature
Micro Munch Tackle 1/2 oz jig/ GYCB Kreature as a trailer
Cavitron Buzzbait (black on black)
Favorite: Jerkbaits as a lure class
Specific bait: Lucky Craft Pointer 128
My favorite bait is a 3/8 oz Strike King Spinnerbait. If I just want to catch a few I use an 1/8-1/4 oz shaky head.
The past couple weeks the most productive bait has been a 5" watermelon with chartruese tip *** version of a senko. I did have much confidence in the color but went with LBH and Matty 5.0 this past weekend and caught some fish with it. Then traveled to a 4 other lakes in the past week and caught more fish than I usually do. (But I was fishing different areas too). I really cant stand fishing it, I usally have to cast it, put the rod down, and walk around the boat, then a little while later pick up the rod. I'm just too used to power fishing with a jig or rat-l-trap. But it puts fish in the boat.
My favorite way to fish is pitching a jig at anything and everything.
Most productive: Shaky Head

Most Productive: 5" *** (wacky rigged)

Color,.....hmmmm....we also caught on Pumpkin, watermelon swirl, dark grn pumpkin, red bug, black, watermelon red flake , watermelon pepper and tomato core, lol Color doesn't matter, they want the wiggle!!
My favorite bait, this year anyway, was the jitterbug. Was the most fun and caught my PB for the season (7lbs11oz)
This year my most productive lure was the spinnerbait .I also got my biggest of the year on it and had a big channel catfish on it 2
In overall productivity, i find myself always siding with a tube of a variety of colors, rigged with an 1/8th oz. insider head. But i enjoy the buzzbait the most, since my last 3 pb's have come off of it.

Pb on a jitterbug?? Great! I couldnt catch a fish on that thing if it jumped right in the boat! I still try though since it looks so cool.
