Whats everyones favorite bait to throw in the fall ?
Well, always a jig, but soft swimbaits and hard jerkbaits are red hot!
Zara Spook, followed by a square-bill crank.

A jig is always a good choice, but when the fall bite really turns on a chatterbait is my favorite. As a friend says, "Be careful, you might get your arm broke."
weightless fluke.
Rattletraps been working wonders here
Spinnerbait, KVD 1.5, jig and red eye Shad in that order. super fluke deserves to be mentioned as well.
Still got a month and a half for us... xcaliber lipless cranks and any reaction bait thats working...poppers early
Sluggos in Arkansas shiner color and shad rap in black and silver.
NorthStar Hair jigs
LC Pointer - Female Bluegill
Buzzbait
I am in the swimbait / jig catagory also.
Swimbaits, lipless cranks, square bills , beavers , bladebaits & jigs.
Spinnerbaits, jigs, soft jerks.
my favorite fall bait is probably a spoon. everyone's preference is going to be influenced by the particular bodies of water they fish. i fish table rock which is deep and clear with lots of threadfin shad. the majority of the bass begin to herd up the shad into big schools in the fall, and flutter and jigging spoons are very hard to beat. i know there are lots of guys that will fish shallow here in the fall, but i am not really into covering miles of bank for a few bites. i am more into parking on a good school and loading the boat.

Northstar Hair jigs, and Northstar spinnerbaits. When the water starts to cool more, I go to jerkbaits and blades along with the hair jig.
Lake Fork Magic Shad in the magic shad color. Swim jigs are never a bad idea, and square bills and spinnerbaits usually produce. Don't vote out some shad and baby bass senkos as well!

swim jigs, hollow body swim baits, jigs and jerkbaits
#1, White jig/Kalins grub #2 Shallow running crank.
I like to swim that jig combo and give it a pop of the rod tip now and the. Both the Bandit and KVD cranks can be moved along at a pretty good clip without 'blowing out' or rolling on their sides.
The lakes around here are natural, so the creek arms and flats associated with fall shad movements are replaced with bays and slow tapering points that the bluegill and bass fry migrate to.
I won't hesitate to fish a top water prop bait, especially if I know there are active fish in the area. This seems to be the only time I can work one aggressively with decent results.
My favorite is a jig. My most productive would probably be a rat-l-trap or a 1- minus in shallow water.
I tryed a product from Europe - a KIRA vobbler. Never seen it before - its difficult to find it in US. Even their website is hard to find, a friend from Croatia gave me the link ( kira-fishing.com ) It worked great in shallow water while catching some pikes and bass. Anyone else ever tryed it/heard of it?
The water is finally cooling down. Northstar Jigs and BP Tubes are getting hits.
Super Fluke in arkansas shiner or a standard green pumpkin shaky head worm. Fishing the salad up here, it's usually the fluke
