What do you guys like? The beaver has been pretty good lately for me, getting the very few fish i've gotten in this heat on it, just pitching it in and around structure.
I've got some RI Sweet Beavers, and Strike King Rodents, and some small beavers that I dont know what they are.
Are they're any other one's I should look at? With a good range of colors? I generally like a good solid watermelon with a swirl on pearlescent blue in there. (See: Hematoma or Magic Craw by RI)
Any suggestions?
Been doing real good on Havoc Pit Chunk, not to be confused with the Pit Boss. Bama bug color working good.
Hootie
Gambler Ugly Otter
I have been using the BPS River Bugs (both sizes) lately with good success. I think the RI beavers are the best, but the difference is not enough to justify the extra cost. Watermelon green with red flakes is my current favorite (BPS Crawberry). At night black neon has worked well.
Reaction Innovations. I like to spend my money on baits that work, and they work. Much like GYCB with the senko, the R.I. beaver was the original, and IMHO the originals are always the best.
I like my beavers kinky and sweat... now on to the baits,, i am a creature man but at this moment it has been RI, and D-bombs.. pit boss and the yums are close seconds
The original Sweet Beaver and Ugly Otter are my favorites. The beaver more for penetrating weeds, and the otter for gliding through pockets.
I prefer the Ugly Otter

Trigger X have been good to me this year.
Yum Wooley Bug has been really good to me. Cajun neon is my favorite color in those. Not sure if a Havoc Pit Boss is a true beaver style bait but they're similar and I've got a ton of them. Summer craw, Texas craw, Okechobee craw, Purple-green passion, GP/orange flake, black/blue, they all catch fish for me.
Gambler little and ugly otters
pit boss.

The less the better?
The Missle D-Bomb is by far my favorite beaver! I hated a beaver because it just looked stupid to me. No action and very little glide to it. Then I found the D-Bomb. The ridges hold air bubbles, which allow it to glide better and release bubbles and the tail is very thin and it moves alot more than a RI's tail.
Gambler is the deal for me if u split all the limbs the action becomes amazing
I've been all over the Havoc Pit Boss since day 1 and they are great. I like the RI Double Wide Beaver in thick stuff or at night.
The RI is my favorite. If you cut one down the middle (along where the 2 sections come together) they make a great little bait to throw on a jighead.
The bps version does have a color with a white belly and watermelon top thats BOSS.
yum beavers in black and blue orsmoke with red flake hands down caught my pb on the black and blue in february
The Rodent has done me right the past two years.
R.I. sweet and smallie beavers.......I have been throwing a smallie beaver on these http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/zenith-shakey And It's been a very good bait!
Reaction Innovation's Sweet Beaver in black/red flake worked well for me. I have the Kinky beaver but haven't been able to catch anything off of it yet as it has been too hot.
RI's kinky beaver is my go to beaver.....
Surprised the topic didn't get auto censored...
Beavers are the hot trend lately. Check out the missile d bomb.
How do you guys fish them? I only use them for flipping and pitching matted weeds. Curious as to other techniques that have proven effective.

I usually just flip and pitch them as well, but today I got a few hits weightless through grass, sorta fluke like.
And I guess i'll just stick to my RI's and Rodents. They look good, and man, those SK's smell good too (;
Pitbosss!!
