I about to purchase me a new pair of sunglasses and thinking about switching to Costa after using Oakley for some time.
What color lenses do I get? I heard that you should get a brown or yellow...Never seen the yellow color.
I'm getting the Blackfin's for sure but still don't know what color. If you can help me out guys I sure would appreciate it.
Also I'm getting the 580G lenses, also told those are better.
Thanks for looking.

Brown has always worked best for me
Depends on what use the sun glasses are used for most of the time or if they are specific application lens.
I prefer dark grey to max the glare cutting off water and for general day time use while driving etc.
Dark amber high lights green colors under water, light amber or more yellow tone enhance light for better vision during low light periods or cloudy days. Blue enhances vision in foggy conditions etc.

What about green mirror???
If you're like me and can't afford a couple pairs of glasses I would go with blue. They're great during the afternoon when it's really bright and you can still manage to see during the morning in low light conditions. And they look pretty good when you're trying to talk to girls.
When bass fishing I use amber only, it gives a higher color contrast.

I work at academy sports and outdoors and they give you this training site...I trained on costas and got 60 % OFF
I was told to get the green mirror and to me they are going to be fishing only glasses. I have ray bans for driving and numa's for water sports and other stuff.
I have Costa amber with green mirror. Not only can I see underwater very well with them, I also feel that they protect my eyes, from the sun, better than anything else I have worn.

What's a training site?
Costa has a full break down of what each lens color excels in. Personally I'd go with green mirror as its based on a amber lens
I have a pair of Green Mirror 580s. Can't say enough good things about them. Perfect all around lenses for freshwater fishing IMO.
1 of each you can't go wrong!

There's a bunch of main product your stores sell. For instance academy has rocky, costa, g5, kershaw, and a bunch of other. The manufactors want to make sure you know how to sell there product. I took a bunch and got 60 % off costas and not trying to decide which pair of glasses do I want

Thats what I may do purchase these for fishing and go out and by me a pair of ray bans or oakley..I like the oil rigs
Have the green mirror, use them all the time as they are good in cutting glare enough on bright days but they work very well in low light like dawn/dusk and cloudy days when grey is too dark to see.
I use the darker colored strike kings from Wal-Mart I think there a darker green.
Ot, This could save your life. I found out riding motorcycles at night the Amber colored glasses do make seeing everything brighter and more crisp. I hate the on coming cars headlines too. They kind of blind US for a brief second. I wear my amber glasses while driving my car too it takes the glare out from the on coming cars. Even while on the puter it's more crisp.

I did notice yesterday while fishing in the shaded area my dark green glasses are too dark in the shade. This means we need more than one pair for the different lighting conditions, like the cloudy, sunny, shady conditions and the different water conditions. Yesterday I had a multiple lighting conditions plus the water was stained. Plus I was fishing in the shaded area. I'm a lure watcher more than anything else. Try to watch behind my lure as much as I can to see what the fish are doing. I'm watching for the short strikes. I think we need a dark green color and an Amber colored polarized glasses. I'm sure the pros
here can tell us for sure. Maybe tv'sll chime in. Bigbill

I keep it simple. Smoke on clear. Amber any other time.

Same with my Wiley X. Have Emerald Green Mirror with the amber based lense.
Those look so GREAT!!! question though will they fit a face with a large nose??
There are many different frame sizes and styles. You best go try a few and see how they fit. I believe the 580 Green Mirror is technically a copper based lens, but is similar to amber.

I'm looking at the Blackfins because they have the 18 mm nose room.
I got lucky with mine. I tried the Fathom (I think) and they were too small so I went with the Zane and they fit perfectly. Hope you have the same luck. Green Mirror is the way to go for all around IMO.
