What's the most versatile rod you own? Mine is definitely the powell max 7 ft mh mod fast. It's labeled as a cranking rod, but I've thrown just about any lure 1/4-1 oz. Everything from 6xds to shad raps on 8 lb mono! I've even pitched 1/2 oz jigs and thrown frogs on 50 lb braid on this rod. It's a perfect hard and soft jerkbait rod as well. What's yours?
I'd say probably my 7'2" HXF *** Black. Really impressed with that rod for lots of big presentations. You can throw frogs, big wakebaits, jigs, deep cranks, chatterbaits... It's super light, has a ton of backbone and just enough tip softness to really bomb casts and allow action out of big vibration baits etc.
Blown away at what they offer- especially for the price!
I really like my Dobyns 734C, it can do more things then it can't.
6'8" MH Powell. Thrown shakeyheads, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, light jigs, texas rigs, lipless cranks, small frogs, light buzzbaits, the list goes on and on

Good choice....
7'2" mh/f Phenix M1 castimg ro .

7' ML/F Avid spinning rod. Shad raps, dropshot, light shakey head, finesse carolina rig, jig+Gulp, etc.
Dobyns champion 734. Got two of them because those can cover about 75% of the things I would need to throw
My 1st gen 6'8 medium casting cumara is probably the most versatile rod i own. Throws everything in my arsenal very well...

ALX 7'1" mh deputy, I can do pretty much anything with it
I got a few custom built 7' MH/F St.Croix SCV rods that do everything I want to do with them with the exception of finesse stuff and heavy flipping.
6'6" Medium BPS Extreme. It was my second Baitcast rod. I use it for Spinnerbaits now, but I use to thow Jigs, T-rig, squarebills, topwaters, and a frog a few times. Its caught me a BUNCH of fish on a Bunch of different presentations, But now that I have a bunch of rods I love it with the spinnerbaits
Hopefully the rod I ordered on black Friday will be pretty versatile when it comes to lighter stuff... I ordered a ML/XF St. Croix Mojo spinning rod!
St Croix Elite LES7MF
I have three that I feel are very versatile. All custom. One built on a Batson Rainshadow Rx8 popping blank, another on an Mhx high mod popping blank, and lastly one built on a Phenix Recon 683. As for production sticks go, pretty much all Kistler Klx and Alx Zolo b sticks have tapers and actions that make them quite universal.

I own rods of the same power and action in the Rage and LTB series from St. Croix, I love those rods for shakeyhead fishing. Just a heads up, I have broken this rod in both of these series. The rage was most definitely my fault, I stubbed the end of the rod against the side of my rod locker when putting the rod in the boat, the LTB, I can only believe was damaged between the factory and my purchase, not sure what the cause was. Both rods broke about 6 or inches down from the tip.
My replacement rods have been great, good choice.

Raul, I have that very rod. Just got it a few weeks ago. Really looking forward to using it next season.
Hootie
My 50 + year old FIBRE GLASS fly rod.........It is that old.
Impossible to kill or toss off any type of bait due to the extreme full length bend when casting very hard. It bends evenly to the handle.
I use it as a spinning rod now for that reason. All new guides.
A MH / F is hard to beat for all around bass fishing, but of my own tackle I have a M / F spinning rod built on an MHX blank that I find myself grabbing for with little worry about what I'll be doing with it. It casts a wide range of common bait sizes, has a forgiving action and lots of power in the butt for a "Med" power. If I'm hiking and limited to one rod, this is invariably the one I reach for.
Powell 723c
My new style Crucial 6'10" MH - F
Dobyns DX744c and SC LTBC70MF.
Most of my rods are versatile within their weight range because they have a fast action. I don't worry too much if the rod was advertised as a spinnerbait rod or a Senko / Fat Ika rod. I tie on a lure I want to fry and start casting. I suppose I would learn their limits if I lived in an area where I could actually catch fish on most outings. Hauling a lure thru barren water doesn't teach you much about the rod.

It is labeled an Umbrella Rig Rod, but I have used it for Swimbaits, Frogs, Punching, Flipping, in addition to throwing an A-Rig. Just a great heavy cover/heavy lure rod.
Megabass Flat Side Special
7'2 Mh phenix m1 cant go wrong!!

You must be hitting the pads at Arthur.
St. Croix Legend Xtreme 6'6" M/F paired with a Quantum Exo at the moment.
My current most versatile rod is a St. Croix Avid, 7', M, F, casting rod.
I asked for a Megabass Extreme Mission Type F for Christmas. A lot of people rave about their versatility. Hopefully I'll find out in a few weeks.
I have several different brands so take your pic, but a 7' mh/f would definitely get the nod for my most versatile rod.

Actually, I never fish there. There are a few lakes further North (and into New York) that I frequent.
duckett 7'3 mh/f. I use it for jigs, Carolina rigs, football jigs, small soft plastic swimbaits on a 1/2oz swimbait jig head, t-rig weightless senko's , soft plastic t-rigs, swim jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and have thrown a few frogs on it, not in heavy slop tho. its my most versatile rod
My most versatile rod (s) would be my 2 St. Croix's A 7ft Avid MH and a 7 ft MH LTB.
I don't really have any setup that I would call versatile anymore, every setup has been basically designed and allocated for one or maybe two purposes. If I had to choose though I have 2 St. croix triumphs 7' M/F that have gone from T-rigs/Jigs to swim jigs to spinnerbaits over the last three seasons, so I guess that is my most versatile setup...(although the reel has changed from 7:1 to 6:1)
